To celebrate pride month, Lynx has created a Unity Pride Limited Edition Body Spray, also on sale at Superdrug. The scent of the two products is said to contain “aromatic notes of lavandin, white moss, and green herbs, along with woody profiles of creamy sandalwood and cedarwood – unexpectedly met with a slightly salty punch of Marmite”. Of the new products, Lynx brand manager commented, “By combining two iconic legends that have shaped dating and breakfast culture across the nation, we have created a product like no other that is sure to get lovers and haters spreading the news … We’ve created the scent for all the lovers, whether that’s Lynx or Marmite, but with the controversial nature of the spread, believe it also might help in keeping the haters at arm’s length”. I love Marmite. I can't even imagine how this will smell, especially on the sweaty adolescents who typically overspray Lynx (or Axe as we brand it here in the USA). At face value it sounds disgusting. But kudos to them for being imaginative and taking a chance! So....I have grown up on Lynx. I used to wear Alaska, Oriental, Nevada, Java....etc etc... all the great 80's & 90's ones and to be honest 1995's Africa kinda marked the time I'd started to grow up, and out of Lynx. So therefore I'm not that nostalgic about that particular release.
