Bought as an addition to our Zenobia tent for all the usual reasons: more space, shelter to sit, cook, etc. The Zenobia 6 is a tunnel tent design, making it easy to pitch (see instructions on pitching a tunnel tent). The Hi-Gear Zenobia 8 looks more professional with the little rain canopies over the doors. These prevent rain falling inside the tent. The downside to buying online is that you can’t actually get hold of the product to try it out first. Ideal for family camping, the Hi Gear Zenobia Elite 6 is a spacious 6-person tent with flexible door and bedroom options and room for your gear, your furniture and yourselves.

If you like the Gelert Horizon 6 or want to a different colour, then this tent is actually the same as the Gelert Horizon (both Hi Gear and Gelert have the same manufacturer).Bought the porch to go on our Zenobia tent, had the tent a few years but with 5 of us the space inside was small, so got the porch to make more seating area and to have more space inside if it rained. We had a nightmare putting it up, had to adjust it many times as it just never looked like it fitted right,it never fitted snugly against the tent so rain came in the sides and it was windy when we fitted it and it nearly flew off, it took 3 adults to hold it down, its like a kite. The first time putting it up was slightly trial and error - maybe clearer instructions are needed (about 1 1/2 hours to put up, maybe 45 mins next time) It's a nice size but as a 6 berth it might be 2 adults and 4 children. The porch could do with a better fit to the main tent but it served its purpose and looked great when up.

The Zenobia 6 does not have this over its doors, so get an umbrella ready if you’d like to keep the tent as dry as possible. We’re really pleased to have scored Hi-Gear Zenobia 6 Nightfall Tent so highly, givimg it 8.5 out of 10, making it well above the average for all 5 – 6 Person Tents. Large gap around the bottom is nice on a hot day, not so when raining (will likely saw off a few inches from the poles to lower the porch to the ground)There are however some methods that you can use to determine a product’s quality without needing to physically have it. Snug fit is hard to achieve although we've found positioning the elasticated sides alongside the main tent poles as the best fit (so that the porch is aligned over the main tent door and side window)
