About this deal

We achieved another milestone in 2005, when we became part of E. & J. Gallo Winery and took our Barefoot Wine & Bubbly collection to six continents around the world. This global footprint (pun intended) has helped make us one of the world’s most recognised wine brands.

Our Barefoot Moscato treats the senses with some wonderful scents, from lush fruity aromas, hints of gloriously juicy peach, ripe apricots and citrus. We can’t deny it - Moscato Wine is a true crowd-pleaser! The terms “pink,” blush,” and “rosé” all describe wines that are neither red nor white. Each term is interchangeable, especially for sweet wines such as zinfandel, white merlot, and even pink Moscatos. At Barefoot, we think that wine is that bit more fun with a touch of fizz and sparkle - and our bubbly will set any evening off in style! Decades later, we’ve been part of thousands of non-profit events with the help of Barefooters around the globe. In most cases Moscato wine is a sweeter white wine made from Muscat Blanc grapes. Its light feel and refreshing flavour profile makes Moscato more than just a dessert wine though. They’re refreshing enough to be consumed at during a BBQ or dinner with friends.Big birthday, special anniversary, new job celebration, a family get together or an evening with friends - there’s always a good time to pop open a bottle of bubbly, isn’t there? (I will need to run this one by compliance) Sometimes, you don’t even need a reason at all! Uncork it carefully, listen to that glorious pop and fizz, pour into flutes, and raise a toast before taking that first, gorgeous sip. Fan-bubbly-tastic! Take our very beginnings in 1965, when California winemaker Davis Bynum first created Barefoot Bynum Burgundy in his garage. The unconventional name referred to – what else? – the free-spirited method of crushing grapes barefoot. Because Moscato wines tend to be on the sweet side, with hints of peach, apricot, and nectarine, they pair well with brie, gorgonzola, and soft goat cheese. So, how does Moscato get its fizzy texture? Unlike most wines, Moscato is bottled with a bit of carbon dioxide to produce some of the bubbles. The carbon dioxide helps to ensure not all of the sugar converts to alcohol, giving it the sweet flavour. Though Moscato is often sweet, its refreshing taste profile makes Moscato more than just a dessert wine. That’s why a dessert Moscato exists!

It shows floral and mineral notes on the nose. There are not many bubbles in the glass, but it bubbles up in your mouth quite a bit. The palate doesn’t offer much complexity, but it’s still enjoyable with tasty apple flavors and decent acidity. It’s slightly yeasty on the finish.

The sugar converts to alcohol and carbon dioxide during this process, typically leaving dry wine. To keep it sweet, Jen combines cool temperatures, modern technology, and a careful process to ensure that some sugars remain for the semi-sweet Moscato. Voila! Moscato is a sweeter style, white or rosé wine with a low alcohol content that pairs very well with desserts and appetizers. Moscatos are made from the Muscat grape, a table grape also used for raisins, and typically feature the sweeter flavours of peach, orange blossom and nectarine. Just who are Barefooters? They are our voices in local communities and at events, our feet on the street. They are big-hearted advocates making a difference for the causes we love, travelling far and wide to spread the word about Barefoot Wine & Bubbly.
