Reese’s Peanut Butter Christmas Trees are made mainly with a delicious peanut butter mixture and then involves dipping the shaped peanut butter in melted chocolate. Because peanut butter becomes gooey when it’s handled, this recipe works best to include three chilling phases. The first is after the mixture has been pressed into the pan, and the second is after the shapes have been cut. The third is after the trees have been dipped in chocolate. Using a fork, dip each tree into melted chocolate to cover completely. Gently tap the fork to drip of the excess of chocolate. (Since the peanut butter mixture softens really fast at the room temperature, I suggest you to take just a few trees at the time from the freezer, because it’s easier to work with the firm trees!!!) Place chocolate covered Christmas trees on the parchment paper lined tray. Refrigerate until chocolate has set. I used Wilton decorating tip #3 with a decorating coupler and it just screws right onto the tube. Seriously. So easy! Christmas trees made with wrapped peanut butter cups are perfect for decorating or to give as they are. The wrapping helps protect them to be enjoyed later. And now for the fun part – Decorating it! You’ll have to excuse my messy lines below. I was busy taking photographs and I didn’t notice how crooked everything was until it was too late. The sprinkles pretty much hid the crooked lines, but it does look a bit messy below. Oops!
