Unfortunately, my least favourite aspect of this dragon is definitely the wings, which are very simple. Their proportional size looks marvellous and I like the purple blades that form dactyls, although only the outermost dactyl is articulated on each wing. However, no fabric membrane stretches between them, creating a skeletal aesthetic which is detrimental to this entire model. When the ninja achieved their Dragon Form, the Scythe of Quakes and one of the Shurikens of Ice were seen in their purified state, despite them being the Weapons of Destruction until they were claimed by the ninja. As Garmadon admired the Garmatron, the Stone Army returned with Nya as a prisoner. The Overlord watched as Garmadon immersed Nya in Dark Matter, infecting her with evil and transforming her into a loyal servant of darkness. With the test complete, the Overlord accompanied his forces as the Garmatron left the camp and headed for the coast. The Overlord also claims Garmadon's power was a 'gift' from him, although Garmadon's elemental essence of Destruction stems from his Oni heritage, it's possible the Overlord meant that the Devourer boosted Garmadon's destructive powers to a level that he would not have reached had he not been corrupted. Sometime after " Crystalized", the Merge occurred which combined Ninjago with the other realms, it's also unknown whether the Overlord is apart of the balance of the Merged Realms as well. The box doesn’t really do much to confirm or deny this, but you do get a nice look at the set contents. The Overlord(s) face off against golden ninja Lloyd. Strangely missing is the “10 year anniversary” Golden Ninja figure stand and logos that appear on the other January 2021 Ninjago Legacy sets. Maybe this is due to 71735 Tournament of Elements already including a Golden Lloyd, or maybe because Lloyd is considered part of the main set, and not a “bonus collectible figure”. The Overlord has very similar goals to the First Spinjitzu Master, albeit by very different means; the Overlord wishes to achieve peace via imbalance and Darkness' domination over Golden Power, whilst the First Spinjitzu Master achieves peace by balance between these two powers, neither having dominion over the other and existing in complete harmony.
