About this deal

Azalea japonicas are acid-loving shrubs and I’ve found that they respond well to leafmould or ericaceous compost added to the hole before planting and yearly afterwards. Choose a wide, rugged container and stand it on pot feet to ensure good drainage. Use ericaceous compost, but try to find one with a loamy content and not too much peat, because loam-based composts hold nutrients and have a far better structure, making watering and feeding easier. H6) Luscious rich warm pink, double flowered Homebush hybrid. Grows best in light dappled shade or full sun. Height 150cm in 10 years. This is one of the best 50 azaleas selected by Ernest Wilson, known as 'Wilson's 50', from Japan and introduced by him in 1918. This variety is known as Wilson No. 2, or 'Snowflake'.
