In the Netherlands, during a stormy, wet, sunny and fuggy summer weekend. Despite the fact that the tent is suitable for 4 people, it was only used with two. Setting up

The fabric: The shell is a durable 75D polyester with a huge hydrostatic head of 4000 mm due to is PU coating. All seams are taped. On the ground you have a tough and fully waterproof polyethylene that is bathtub style. Note that the inner tent has yet another sealed floor on top of the shell floor.
On this trip, we took the bedroom divider down and had ourselves one lovely (cool and dark) sleeping space with plenty of room for our clothes and bags. So this Coleman Tent Meadowood Air 4 Person is indeed nicely built and with quite a number of useful features, to mention its dark rest design as one of them. The living space in this tent is ideal for weekend camping. It provides plenty of space for bags, small camping furniture, and space to prepare the kids. As the title suggests, the Meadowood 4 does have room for sleeping 4 people. Sleeping in 2 rooms, equally split, the dividing wall can be removed to make a bigger single sleeping area. My only (small) criticism is that I would love tent brands (not just Coleman) to design their bedroom pods so that dividing walls can be repositioned and not just taken down. Making this tent sleep 3 with a divider that could give a 70/30 split would be a handy feature and ideal for parents with 1 child who wants their own room/space. I also recommend getting the tent carpet that fits this part of the tent. A tent carpet will make it feel much more like home and make the tent warmer underfoot.

Empty the tent, take out the pegs and press the air valves. This tent was down fast and the air expelled from the air beams very well. Be sensible with the folding of the beams and the last of the air is expelled towards the open valves. All that’s left is to fold the tent to the width of the bag roll it up and pop it in. Easy thanks to the reasonable bag size. Porches like this are also a great place to sit out of the breeze, sit if it rains, and great storage to bring chairs and toys into at night. The tent is a 3-room structure. There is an inner tent within the shell tent, the schematic shape and the most important dimensions are given below. The inner tent is with a removable divider, so you can use it with or without it and have 3 or 2 rooms in total. The most important dimensions. This feature-rich Meadowood 4 Air tent is a tunnel-type construction supported by 3 inflatable beams instead of classic poles. So this is a sort of fast pitch system but different from the system of the same name that they use in some other tents with classic poles. The position of the air beams is shown in the picture below (the red tubes). Fast Pitch Air system. The tent has an extended open front porch area offering additional living space with protection from the elements. The front porch can be closed off for additional weather protection with an easily attached zipped front face (Coleman 4L Vestibule sold separately). To pitch this tent, we recommend two people. Having two adults available is not easy if you have to look after young kids, but a second person is occasionally needed. It is possible to pitch this tent single-handed, as I've done many times with similar tents. But an extra pair of hands helps :-) As for space, you’ll see from many of the photos, we had furniture inside the Meadowood 4 with plenty of room to spare. A couple of big comfy camping chairs, foot stool and a table make this a great place to relax and read a book, watch a movie etc. and those colours we mentioned help make this feel like an airy and refreshing living space. The porch entrance into the tent lays flat, unlike some tents where the groundsheet is turned up, causing kids (and adults) to trip. Pitching the Coleman Meadowood 4LCertified laboratory testing proves Coleman® UVGuard™ protection fabrics with an SPF50 provide excellent protection against the sun’s ultraviolet rays. Proper use of sunscreen combined with shelters made with UVGuard™ protection fabric can go a long way in the battle against sunburn and UV exposure.
