About this deal

Love chili? Almost everyone does. And Seriously Good Chili Cookbook: 177 of the Best Recipes in the World is by far the best and most complete cookbook on the subject of chili I’ve ever seen. Not only does it cover the different kinds of chili, but also the history of chili, and trivia about the subject. This is a really fun book to read, but it is even better to cook from.

While he hasn't tried every recipeincluded in the cookbook, he has tried many — and shared his own formula dubbed "Brian's Seriously Good Chili Recipe" in the cookbook. Brian's very own savory and Seriously Good chili recipe that he has perfected over years of trial and error, plus step-by-step video instruction with a QR code

Advance Praise

Having made sure I understood the joke that forms the premise of this book, we move on to "A Brief History of Chili and Fun Facts" and "A Chili Timeline". The timeline is fascinating - don't skip over it! Then, it's story time again. Brian talks about his search for the perfect chili. It's a tall tale that will leave you wondering how much of it is true and how much is epic storytelling.

And just when you're wondering where the other 176 recipes are, they appear. The variety is incredible. If you can't find a chili recipe in this collection to your liking, you probably don't like food at all. One grouping of the recipes are winners of ICS (International Chili Society) World Championships. The final recipe is 'the' recipe that was used in that incident in 'that' episode of "The Office". How fitting. All in all, this is more than just a cookbook. It's a celebration of the history, culture, and diversity of chili.Introduction by Brian with a behind-the-scenes look at the infamous chili scene that made him a chili icon, plus his devoted passion for this classic comfort food and its rich history With an introduction by Brian with a behind-the-scenes look at the infamous chili scene that made him a chilli icon, the book shows his devoted passion for this classic comfort food and its rich history. Brian Baumgartner's character Kevin Malone became a household name in the Emmy-winning TV series, The Office. In real life, Brian is a true chili master and aficionado who is just as serious as his fictional counterpart about making the most perfect pot of chili! Five stars. This would be an excellent choice for public library acquisition, home use, or gift giving to a fan of The Office -or- chili fans. Regardless of what recipe you test out, Baumgartner has a couple chili-making secrets he shares with USA TODAY. You can imagine every kind of chili – with beans or not – chili verde – turkey chili, Cincinnati chili – Texas chili; the list is endless. Included are chilies to top hot dogs. Included are chilies served over pasta with toppings. Included are chilies made with turkey. Included are white chilies and green chilies, as well as cheesy chilies. Included are vegetarian and vegan chilies. Included are chilies with international flavors. This cookbook covers it all.
