Vitamin supplements that contain vitamin A and D, such as Abidec, are not recommended for babies who are drinking more than 500ml of formula milk per day, because infant formula is supplemented with these vitamins. Primary care prescribers encouraged to prescribe by brand name to avoid unlicensed specials being dispensed. Low dose for maintenance or prevention (only prescribed in exceptional circumstances where self-care is not possible): Accrete D3 or Evacal D3 should be prescribed in Primary Care. Where a patient has swallowing difficulties, Adcal D3 effervescent tablets can be considered in Primary Care. symptoms, tell your doctor or go to the Accident and Emergency department of your nearest hospital.
