The older 3DS portal can connect to on any platform through USB connection with the exception of Xbox and mobile. Figures that were released for the Swap Force game will work in Swap Force and later games, but not necessarily in Spyro's Adventure or Giants, which both came before Swap Force. Search closely on the underside of a figure that you believe is a SuperChargers vehicle, and you will find telltale signs.
