About this deal
Established in 1986, our experienced engineers have supplied springs for over 20 years in the UK and exported worldwide. At European Springs, we test every single type of spring that we manufacture to ensure its strength and durability are up to the mark and can withstand any type of stress and strain.
K” Monel * (66 percent nickel, 29 percent copper, 3 percent aluminum): This material is quite similar to Monel except that the addition of the aluminum makes it a precipitation-hardening alloy. It is precipitation-hardened to produce hardnesses of 48 to 50 Rockwell C and is used in watch and instrument springs. Music wire is used to make small springs subjected to high loads and cyclic conditions, with high temperature music wire used in foundries, heat treating, and refractories where there are extremely hot internal temperatures. These properties can be strengthened through subtle tweaks made to the alloy percentages and the finishing of the metal spring.
Contract manufacturing is a business model in which a company hires a contract manufacturer to produce its products or components of its products. It is often used in steam valves, regulating valves, and for springs in boilers, compressors, turbines, and jet engines. The alloy can be subjected to stresses slightly higher than phosphor bronze and nearly as high as beryllium copper. If the theoretical stress calculated exceeds the maximum allowable stress, another set of trial dimensions is used. Designing springs can also involve determining the right type of ends, critical buckling, fatigue life, and performance in vibration and surging. Inconel* (78 percent nickel, 14 percent chromium, 7 percent iron): This is one of the most popular of the non-magnetic nickel-base alloys because of its corrosion resistance and because it can be used at temperatures up to 700 °F.
Leaf Spring: A leaf spring is made of one (mono-leaf spring) or multiple flat springs or leaves layered on top of each other. Each of these steel types must be carefully chosen, created and modelled into the spring of your choice, and each subtle adjustment to the make-up of the material must change how we approach the spring-making process, too. The values are verified if the theoretical stress experienced by the spring with trial dimensions is within the maximum allowable stress of the material operating at a given type of service. We specialise in the manufacture of compression springs, and with nearly 40 years experience as an 'A' class supplier we supply many original equipment manufacturers in Europe, USA, India and China.
