About this deal

ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING goes beyond what the title may first bring to mind. Anxious comes in many levels. We all have feared, worried, wanted to know what is going to happen ahead of time. Wondered if we are making the right decision, if the decision we make is the right one.

Anxious for Nothing Max Lucado - Best-selling Christian Author of Anxious for Nothing

Strong's 1722: In, on, among. A primary preposition denoting position, and instrumentality, i.e. A relation of rest; 'in, ' at, on, by, etc.

Words of Hope and Help

Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us. This verse is a reminder that we need to keep God’s Word close to our hearts. When we meditate on Scripture, it helps us to stay focused on God. His Word is a source of strength and encouragement. It can help us to remember His promises and trust Him in the midst of our trials. Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Jesus reminds us that we don’t have to worry about the necessities of life. God is our provider and He will take care of us. This doesn’t mean that we should ignore our problems; it means that we should trust God to take care of us. He knows what we need and He will provide for us. 2. Pray about everything Prayer is one of the most powerful weapons we have against anxiety. When we pray, we are talking to God. We can tell Him our fears and concerns. We can ask for His help. We can also thank Him for His many blessings. 6. Be Anxious For Nothing By Relying on the Holy Spirit

This verse is a reminder that we need to trust God, even when we don’t understand what He is doing. His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. We can’t always see the big picture, but we can trust that God knows what He is doing. Wow, that’s a great word picture you just painted!!! Can you send me some soup? Just kidding. I’m glad it was helpful! Reply I've dealt with copious amounts of social anxiety in the past, and still do from time to time, but thank you, Jesus (!!!) I've taken active steps outside of my comfort zone with the sole intent to eradicate the anxiety. I'd highly suggest taking an acting class, improv class, gym class, any sort of group activity that puts you in a room of strangers, and miles & leagues outside your comfort zone. (I've done all three of the previously suggested & paired them all with prayer, and my anxiety is at an all-time low! Like, it's still there, but I don't let it keep me from living my life anymore.) In John 14:26, Jesus tells us that it is better for Him to return to heaven because the Holy Spirit will be with us and help us when we experience anxiety. He said, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”

For instance, everything is rooted in who you are as what you believe. He even writes "The most important thing about you is your belief system." I cannot disagree more. It's whitewash that doesn't even come close to underlying, genuine experiential anxiety. Rather, it's all about God being sovereign. So if you have anxiety, just remember God's in charge. I'm sorry, but this is so superficial it doesn't even pass cursory theological depth. Strong's 235: But, except, however. Neuter plural of allos; properly, other things, i.e. contrariwise.

When we focus on God’s goodness and give thanks for His many blessings, it helps us to trust Him in the midst of our trials. We can be confident that He will work everything out for our good. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. I have been through the most difficult 2 years of my life. Yet GOD HAS shown HIS incredible Faithfulness and unfathomable creativity in helping my life go on. I still haven’t gotten to the other side of my trial but the closeness I have with my Dad (The Great I am) JESUS the love of my life, and my BFF, The Holy Spirit, is PRICELESS… and so through His faithfulness, and the intangable but never the less for real trust in HIM and complete surrender of myself , I have been truly able to digest and have my body nourished with the beautiful verse “ be anxious for nothing” ??
