The result of three years’ development, the new range was created by Mark Green and Sean Mason – who in their jobs as farmers had “seen first-hand the impact plastic waste can have on the environment” according to Mason. Our Promise Both Mark & Sean are proud Herefordians and very much part of the local community. One of their main aims is to source their ingredients as locally as possible to create flavours with a Herefordshire twist and to keep food miles low and support their community. This was easier in some cases than others. They sourced Hereford Hop cheese from nearby cheesemaker Charles Martell and made cider vinegar from local apples. However, they really struggled to find a local producer of salt. Having searched the UK, a serendipitous turn led them to find a new start-up, just like themselves, Churchfield's saltworks in nearby Droitwich, Worcestershire. Churchfields produce high-grade salt from natural brine springs and dry it using renewable energy. It was, of course, a perfect fit and the two brands now work closely together.

Herefordshire startup Two Farmers has unveiled a range of crisps in a 100% compostable bag – which it claims is a UK first for its category. Using award-winning potatoes grown on our Herefordshire farms, we slice and hand cook our crisps in small batches before flavouring them with the finest locally sourced ingredients to create a fresh taste and great crunch. For meat eaters, enjoy the delicate flavours of our Mortadella and Ricotta Sandwich, with parmesan butter and pesto, alongside our vibrant Summer Pepper Slaw dressed in creamy miso almond dressing.
