THE BATTLEFIELDThe players roll off. The winner sets up the battlefield’s terrain features and then the other player chooses which edge of the battlefield is the northern edge. This territory cannot be controlled. Instead, if you roll this result when making an exploration roll, you can choose to harvest the fungi of this cave. If you do so, roll twice on the Common Shroom table and once on the Rare Shroom table. I’m not going to mince words, this box is…bad. It’s going to try and pull you in with the Stormdrake, and hey even the Hammer Annihilators are actually pretty good. Don’t be fooled.

Deep in a subterranean cave, you encounter a blind and withered Brewgit. The wise-grot asks you to bring him a specific combination of rare shrooms. If you do so, he will pay you in precious glassware to store future potions in, as well as share some of his potent brews.Roll 3 times on the Rare Shrooms table and make a note of the results in your quest log. These are the shrooms the Brewgit has tasked you to find. For each roll of 1-3, you need only find 1 of those types rather than D3. For those of you with a spiderfang general, Spider Riders can be battleline and certainly exist. A bit more exciting is the Arachnarok Spider with Spiderfang Warparty , giving the faction its sole ability to monster mash if you’re that way inclined. No longer relegated to being the worst big spider but it’s battleline I guess, the warparty now counts as 10 models for contesting objectives which is really good! Behemoth

COMPANIONS : Mollog is accompanied by a Bat Squig, Spiteshroom and Stalagsquig. Mollog and his companions are treated as a single model that uses the characteristics above. His companions must remain within 1" of him. The HERO in charge of the brewing suffers a Major Injury and loses D3 renown points. If this reduces their renown points to less than 15, their command trait is removed. What’s more, painting a Stormcast Eternal army out of this set is easy – best grab a can of Liberator Gold while you’re at it… For veteran players, going from being a surprisingly magically powerful army to a fairly mediocre one will sting. But that old army was the worst in the game for most of its lifespan. In trade, just about everything got better on a base warscroll level, the keywords are easier to work with and the core moon mechanic will be better to play with. There’s three interesting, if not overwhelmingly strong, options for the Dankhold Troggboss. Firstly, Alpha Trogg provides two extra wounds and the Monster keyword, a small mercy for everyone who thought they should be monsters anyway. Trogg Smash is a once per battle 3” mortal wound bomb that triggers after the Troggboss fights. Most intriguing is Loonskin which lets you take one of the non-arachnacauldron Gitz endless spells for 0 points and lets your general attempt to cast it (but crucially, does not make them a wizard so any of those predatory spells will be wild). At the start of the second and each subsequent battle round, before the priority roll, the player commanding the Gloomspite Gitz army rolls a dice. If more than 1 player in the battle is commanding a Gloomspite Gitz army, then those players roll off and the winner rolls the dice. On a 1-3, the Bad Moon does not move and instead stays at its current location. On a 4+, it moves to the next location. When the Bad Moon moves off the battlefield, it has no further effect on the battle. Moonclan units get Frothing Zealots for everyone’s favourite 4+ rally and Lunar Squigs still provides the excellent ability to run and charge for squigs. Spiderfang Venom upgrades the spider venom of your spiderfang units to trigger on an unmodified 5+, and Moonlit Hide is your trogg buff for +1 to save rolls. Roll 2 dice instead of 1 when making a brewing roll for this shroom. If the roll is even, add the result to your concoction score as normal. If the roll is odd, subtract the result from your concoction score instead. Each of these Battleforce boxes offers tremendous value, but more importantly, the contents have been selected to give a great mix of different unit types and a rewarding experience of collecting that army. This also makes them ideal gifts – sure to please every Warhammer fan. If you want this box just go buy the annihilators and Stormdrake and something actually good with the leftover cash, instead. This Battleforce contains a vanguard of Sacrosanct Chamber Stormcast Eternals – lightning-charged, armoured mages equally at home incinerating enemies at range as they are chopping them up with swords. Stunties are always hidin’ away shiny gubbinz or mukkin’ about in their flying boats. You and your ladz should go and do ’em over - it’s always a good time to duff up stunties, after all.At the end of a Path to Glory battle, you complete this quest if you won a major victory and your opponent’s army had a DUARDIN general.
