About this deal

The inspiration for the name “Husky” comes from the dog of the exact origin. The vodka and dog breed both showcase traits of ice-cold temperatures. Russian vodka enthusiasts and animal lovers can’t miss the paw print engraving on the crisp blue bottles from Husky. Jewel of Russia The blend of Russian winter wheat and rye produces a clean finish. Zyr delivers a pure style of Russian vodka that is favorable to many consumers. Recognized in its homeland as a benchmark for excellence, Russian Standard Original owes its name and quality to Dmitri Mendeleev’s classic formula, commissioned by Tsar Alexander III for optimum balance and purity.

The spirits are blended with water from Lake Ladoga. The proximity of Lake Ladoga was one of the main reasons for the company's decision to establish its distillery in Saint Petersburg. The lake's underground sources provide one of the softest waters naturally available. [8] c). The Vendor and Cottees Auctions Ltd do not make or give, nor has any person in the employ of Cottees Auctions Ltd any authority to make or give any representation or warranty. Its combination of traditional wheat taste—from the hardy winter wheat of the Russian steppes—and remarkable clarity—from the soft glacial waters of the frozen north—make Russian Standard Original a perfect vodka to sip neat or as your preferred spirit for a long drink. Russian Standard has come to epitomize vodka in the spirit’s motherland, and in the process become an iconic symbol of modern Russian life and dynamism. d). In the event neither the Vendor nor Cottees Auctions Ltd are responsible for any representation or warranty, or for any statement in the Catalogues, Advertisements or Brochures of forthcoming Sales. This, however, is based on a popular myth that Mendeleev's 1865 doctoral dissertation "A Discourse on the combination of alcohol and water" contained a statement that 38% is the ideal strength of vodka, and that this number was later rounded to 40% to simplify the calculation of alcohol tax. However, Mendeleev's dissertation was about alcohol concentrations over 70% and he never wrote anything about vodka. Furthermore, the 40% standard strength was introduced by the Russian government already in 1843, when Mendeleev was nine years old. [10] Variants [ edit ]Gemstones - Historically many gemstones have been subject to a variety of treatments to enhance their appearance. Unless stated Buyers should presume coloured stones may well have been exposed to some sort of treatment. In the event that Cottees has been given or has obtained Certificates for any Lot in the sale these Certificates will be disclosed in the description of the item. Neither Cottees nor the Vendor accepts any liability for contradictions or differing Certificates obtained by the Buyer on any Lot.

Notes: This vodka is produced in St. Petersburg, one of the premier cities of Russia and home to many famous museums such as the Hermitage. Based on a recipe from 1894 they use hard winter wheat and water drawn from Lake Ladoga (about 40 miles away) one of the largest freshwater lakes in the world and the source for some of the softest water naturally occurring in the world (glacier meltwater). In a new state-of-the-art distillery this vodka is distilled four times then filtered four times through charcoal. There are other line extensions of this vodka which also have additional filtering twice through silver- which some believe to have various health benefits, and one that also adds quartz crystal filtration on top of all the other filtrations but we are only reviewing this one here at the moment. Taste: Plump, slightly oily body, with wheat bread notes, glide past the tongue nipping at it with the alcohol edge with a slightly sweet, creamlike lingering finish. Nicely oily body but not too heavy. Overall creamy and a little spicy. Nora FitzGerald (24 February 2006), "High-end vodka is keeping spirits up", The New York Times , retrieved 25 December 2010 Two years after a successful Russian market launch, international expansion was started. This was accompanied by the launch of Russian Standard Platinum product in 2001 and the luxury brand Imperia in 2004. [1] The original product was re-christened Original. Marmont uses natural ingredients and implements a sustainable distillation process for a luxurious result. Marmont’s flavor profile is bold, smooth, and crisp.
