About this deal

My point is definitely try the vintage original to get a proper impression, it is very powerful, it's a love or hate, the new versions are seriously one big disgrace to the true vintage classic Red Door. And as time goes by, notes of violets, jasmine and orange blossom become more evident, and they rest on a strong sandalwood base.

The aroma lasts for more than 8 hours, the silage is powerful, and the scent is quite lovely and unique. To me, it smells almost identical to Charlie Red, which is a perfume I frequently use during the summer. When I began looking at the ingredients of Red Door I realized that this would definitely be worth trying -- even though a lot of the reviews are polarizing. It's owned by a middle-aged lady with long grey hair who always wears full length circle skirts, and staffed by a rotation of multi-colour haired teenage Wiccans. The Parfum starts off smelling a bit like raw honey mixed with orange and lemon before the floral notes start coming in. com description on Red Door - "It opens with ylang-ylang and red rose, at its heart; orchid, jasmine, lily-of-the valley, orange blossom, wild violet and freesia.

I received this as a free sample from purchasing other perfumes and praise Lord, I'm truly a sucker for jasmine and ylang-ylang! The couple I babysat for in the nineties lived in an opulent vaulted ceiling five bedroom house and this was her go to perfume. When everyone was wearing "Pink Sugar", "Fantasy", and a wide range of "Impulse'" body sprays; I drowned myself in this unapologetic beast.Like a big patchouli smoking cobra hissing cat piss and industrial chemicals before it clamps your head in a death lock. This is definitely a fragrance for a confident, classy older woman, doesn’t strike me as something younger women would like. Some things I can smell, some I can’t, and a lot of time I have phantom smells of burning tires…not fun for anyone, let alone someone obsessed with perfumes like myself. It's not a bad scent at all - it's sweet and floral and very complex, but I do see how it could be old lady like (given that most of my primary school teachers were grandmothers). This perfume is a floral, creamy, sweet, slightly soft spicy, and honeyed beauty and I will never be w/out it again!

Applying this to moisturized skin is a must if you want this perfume (especially the EDT, which as a newer formulation would especially benefit from being layered with the matching body cream) to really work its magic.I was not into that smell, I think I was hung up with my Kenzos at that time, but, oh boy how much I miss those years, we had so much fun, I wish I could turn back times. I think it rivals Montana and Fendi as far as throw and silage are concerned, which should give you some idea as to strength. Then when I was a bit older I worked with an older woman who used to wear lots of it, and I hated it. Red door must be used with sensitivity and in small amounts as everyone around may not be able to appreciate it.
