About this deal

Liberon Decking Oil is ideal for feeding, protecting and enhancing the natural beauty of timber decking. Wipe any excess with a lint-free cotton cloth and allow to dry for 24 to 48 hours before using the decking. Enhance the natural beauty of your deck while ensuring it stays resilient and stunning through the seasons.

Our decking is now at least 12 years old, having initially tried two or three different brands of decking oil, without doubt, Liberon is the best by far for the job.Any details you provide are kept securely and are not shared, sold or passed on to any third parties. Decking Oil is not suitable for some foreign hardwoods such as iroko, balau, ipe and sapele which are naturally very oily. This decking oil can be quickly recoated in as little as 15 minutes so your decking can be finished in one day.

As an example, softwood decking that is old will likely require more oil than a relatively new hardwood decking that still retains a fair amount of natural oil. Always test product on a spare surface or inconspicuous area for colour, compatibility and end result. Containing UV filters it helps reduce discolouration and fading from the sun, whilst maintaining the finish. This allows the grain in the wood to open and breathe and aids penetration and adhesion of the finish. If the old decking finish is peeling or flaking, you'll need to use a Decking Stripper, such as Ronseal Decking Stripper or Cuprinol Stain Stripper. It is perfect for reviving and restoring colour to old or new decking and is suitable for use on fences, garden sheds, gates and hot tubs etc. Sand At Rhino BDS no matter the size of your project, we can provide you with the right materials to complete the job.

To get an indication of how the decking would look once oiled, dampen a section of the deck with water. We do our best to represent colours as accurately as possible however screens variations and different surfaces can alter this. We will be happy to organise an exchange for the correct goods at no extra charge to yourself, please get in touch to organise this. We recommend applying 1 or 2 coats of decking oil once a year as a routine maintenance for areas of high traffic reapply as required. If your decking has been affected by algae, fungi, or mould it can be cleaned with Liberon Tough Deck Clean and Revive.

A wet surface will be an approximate indication of the final colour, although the final colour may be darker depending on the timber . Please note: The type and age of timber can have a dramatic impact on how much decking oil the wood needs.

Wipe off any oil that has not been absorbed into the timber with a lint-free cotton cloth and allow to dry for 24 to 48 hours before using the decking. Specially formulated for all types of wooden decking, this high-performance oil penetrates deep to nourish and revitalise the wood, while providing a long-lasting shield against UV rays, water, and everyday wear. The colour has mellowed even more after a few weeks and is nicer than ever Have used several types before but this has brought our Idigbo hardwood decking back to brand new. It is advised that exotic hardwoods are left to weather without coating for up to 12 months before adding any wood oil.Liberon decking oil is uniquely transparent, rendering a clear finish that respects and enhances the wood's natural aesthetics. If your decking is very grey and has lost all its colour, Liberon Decking Oil in Teak or Medium Oak will put the colour back into the timber. Apply 1 or 2 coats of Liberon Decking Oil once yearly as part of a routine maintenance schedule, to avoid decking finishes looking tired and worn.
