About this deal

All things said, this is an awesome peice of kit! It is now my daily driver bag. I looked and looked for a solution for taking my "essential stuff" with me when I am on the go. This bag didn't look bige enough for my needs, but I took a chance. Then, of course, there's the adjustable shoulder strap, which allows me to sling the bag over my shoulder and have it dangle down near my waist for easy access. Due to this design, I can feel confident that any of my expensive devices inside will be protected as I move around with them. It even seems to improve the ergonomics ever so slightly, with the shell exaggerated just where it feels right. The protector matches the size of the screen down to the millimetre, which is great and means you don't get that annoying overhang. I was underwhelmed with the apparent "oleophobic coating" meant to reduce fingerprints, as it doesn't seem to make a difference for me. Honestly, that's something many of the wireless buds I've tested recently will do, and I'm eternally grateful the bad old days of headset pairing has seemingly long gone. Many of the other wireless earbuds also have touch controls, too, but few as eminently usable as the Quantums.

On the whole, this is a solid option for carrying your portable gaming hardware, as it has some neat and thoughtful additions for carrying such tech, along with plenty of space and little compartments. The fabric used both inside and out seems strong and durable, and overall the bag's construction seems really solid. Many of the other wireless earbuds also have touch controls, too, but few as eminently usable as the Quantums. All of this tech ( and more) was stowed away neatly thanks to the various compartments also found in this Arccos Series bag. The Tomtoc Arccos-G47's shoulder strap can be removed via its carabiners. (Image credit: Rebecca Spear / Windows Central) It is a great bag that offers some protection to your gear with enough room to hold pretty much everything you could want short of a portable projector but it falls short in 2 kinda frustrating areas:

Unless you're specifically looking for a slim carrying case, the least expensive one on the market, or you'd really prefer to get a hard-shell travel bag, then Tomtoc's offering will be a great fit for you. There's nothing like being free of wires, especially when the old, wired controller I was using was having major connection issues and I literally couldn't move without it disconnecting and my character walking off in a random direction—usually into danger.

DETAILS MATTER

A stranger part of the Arccos-G47 design that I've actually grown to like is a hand strap near the bottom of the bag. You technically can unhook the shoulder strap's carabiners and tote the bag around by this carrying handle, but that turns the bag upside down. However, I also find that this carrying handle works as a comforting place to loop my hand through and rest on the bag as I'm walking around. It helps me feel more protective of my property, like no one will be able to yank the bag off my shoulder and start running since I have an extra hand on it. The JBL Quantums, on the other hand, are easy to use and have a basic single tap on the right bud to pause and play, and the same on the left bud to cycle through active noise cancelling, ambient aware, or sound control off. It's straightforward, easy to access, and doesn't frustrate the process.
