So I've been getting one tab to boil a total of 1L, which is really good. Using a half tab in a mince pie type foil outer hasn't managed to bring 0.5 L to a rolling boil. Our testing results are softwoods burn about 1 hour & 1/2 with heat radiating to about 2 hours maximum. Dry hardwood significantly improves the duration of the burn. Recent dense hardwood testing resulted in a 4-hour burn with very prolonged smoldering and just fine ash as end product due to efficient secondary combustion. So anticipate a 2 - 4 hour burn maximum duration of burn when stoking the firebox with hardwood and less with softwood species. Density and species will provide variable results. Position burning matter closer to the front glass on the woodstove. This will put the heat source closer to the glass. FireDragon Solid and Gel are an all-weather, ECO-FRIENDLY biofuel & firelighter. Made from UK sourced ethanol and can be used in multi-fuel cooking stoves, for indoor ethanol fireplaces and is excellent for the barbecue, fire pit or bonfire.
