A single cask release for 2018 of a 10 year old Hazelburn single malt from the Springbank distillery. The annually released Hazelburn Sherry Wood provides a stark contrast to the fully Bourbon matured Hazelburn 10 year old. Matured in 100% Oloroso Sherry casks, this 15 year old release is a complex, full-bodied dram. The finish is short to medium, little bit tannic, oaky with notes of baking spices, honeycake and waxy apricots. Hey buddy, just saw you got the latest release. Robust yet delicate, there is a complexity to this triple distilled offering. Part of the Hazelburn core range, this is a 10 year old bottling of Hazelburn single malt Scotch whisky from the Springbank distillery in the Campbeltown region. It is triple distilled, matured in bourbon casks and bottled at 46% ABV. Nose: Sweet, bacon frazzles, lemon citrus, slightly coastal, fruity, grapefruit, a little chalky and ozone/hot sandy beach.
