The floating grass disperser is mounted on anti-vibration rubbers with a special profile to dispel the grass in the most demanding conditions; the grass is cut, dropped to the ground by the action of the wheels allowing easier control when moving forwards. As there are no film modes on the GF2, it does pay to shoot raw images, even if it is just to fine tune the contrast, or change the colour saturation. Colours straight from the camera can often be quite subdued - unlike some earlier Panasonic cameras.

The shot below was taken using a shutter speed of 30 seconds at f/8 at ISO 100. I've included a 100% crop of the image to show what the quality is like. The camera takes the same amount of time again to apply noise reduction, so for example at the 15 second setting the actual exposure takes 30 seconds.
The touch screen won't be for everyone, of course. As a control paradigm it rather falls apart if you prefer to shoot using an accessory EVF, but fortunately you can then customize everything to work off the physical controls. But in this regard the GF2's loss of buttons - most notably AEL/AFL - makes it a slightly less capable camera than its predecessor. You may find you have the odd break-out or flare-up on the skin after using GF2 for a couple of weeks. H. The main GF2 innovation is the inclusion of a touch sensitive rear LCD screen which can be used to control mode, focus and operation of the camera. The Panasonic DMC-GF2 uses the touch screen to provide mode selection, as such that there isn't a mode dial on the camera. Features including zoom and focus are controlled via the 3-inch touchscreen at the rear of the unit or by manual zoom and focus on the lens. [2]
