About this deal

Just commander Luke, he hasn’t gotten his full Jedi training yet. Unfortunately he is your only force user and man he just does not cut it these days. Luke suffers from being able to do a bit of everything but none of it well. He has a reliable gun, but he has to get close. He can chop up in melee, but not nearly as well as anyone else who can. He has force powers, but only 2 and he has to manually recharge them. He costs a bit too much and just doesn’t synergize well with the rest of the force. Han Solo In its current state the airspeeder is quite solid, it’s just very fragile. Echo Base also doesn’t specifically do anything for the airspeeder (bit of a thematic miss for the most iconic unit from the battle). You likely want to bring two as well, because Airspeeders can be difficult to hit but are delicate, so concentrated fire will bring them down eventually. What does it mean for a list to be “counter meta”? First, we have to talk about what a “meta” is in the first place. The Desert Yellow, in a dropper bottle, is also applied via drybrush. This will build texture and apply highlight and contrast as well. Finally, apply another layer of white. Be sure to keep going in one single direction each time, or the texture will be odd. Painting Star Wars: Legion Rebel Troopers Final Step

Essentially, you want to pair them up with units that can offer useful keywords, add some Aim tokens to the pool, or let you throw lots of dice in the hopes of scoring more criticals. Keep your distance and Standby

Step 1: Assembly and Primer

For newer players, make sure you know that the card has been errata’d these are range 5 now, effectively making them snipers. Which is good because they can’t move. As emplacement troopers you want them to go early to get a standby set up because of their built in Sentinel. Place them on a good vantage point to guard your objectives and dare your enemy to come forward. Heavy To prime, spray in short, controlled bursts while moving the can in one direction across the model. Keep the nozzle a good distance away from the miniature to prevent clumping on the mini. Let the mini sit for a few minutes until dry, then flip and spray the other side! Step 2: Base Coats Let’s state the obvious here: we’re talking about sniper strike teams, not sabs. Sabs got massively hurt by the new wound allocation rules (even moreso than their sniper counterparts) and their offensive profile doesn’t really justify the huge risk anymore.

C – Viable. Units that can be good in specific builds that are designed to feature them, or units that support other more foundational units reasonably well but don’t stand up on their own.Unlike Droids, who are also generally delicate, you can’t afford to lose your units quite so easily, and you’ll feel every loss. It’s very much a “glass cannon” faction with strong but delicate units you must maneuver into ideal positions to take out the enemy and not get torn apart from retaliating fire. Strengths and Weaknesses

Range Diversity –As one of the launch factions, Rebels have a lot more options open to them. Almost any playstyle you want to try Rebels have something to make it work. Gunline? Melee specialists? Heavy vehicles? It’s all here. Padme– Padme is a fantastic support unit with multiple options and can also use that Secret Mission keyword to get you those extra points. Leia– You already have commander Luke and are ready for a little wonder twins action! Leia is an amazing support piece that plays well in a number of playstyles for the Rebels. And of course, perhaps the most entertaining way you can customize your army is by painting and customizing your miniatures! All Star WarsLegion minis come unpainted, so after you assemble your army, you’ll be able to paint your miniatures into something that only you could have created. Although you don’t need to paint your miniatures, many players find it more enjoyable to play with a painted army, and even if you’ve never painted an army of miniatures before, Star WarsLegion is the perfect introduction to the hobby. Warfare is an inescapable part of the Star Wars universe, from the blow dealt to the Rebel Alliance in the Battle of Hoth to a few Rebel strike teams taking on a legion of stormtroopers stationed on Endor. Seize your chance to get your boots on the ground and lead your troops to victory with Star Wars™: Legion, a miniatures game of thrilling infantry battles in the Star Wars universe! These units all do something interesting but probably have cheaper and/or stronger alternatives above. Lando Vallejo Coarse Pumice is a great texture for your bases. You can also use sand mixed with PVA (Elmer’s white) glue to get the same texture-type effect. Apply onto the base with a flat spreader, then apply a primer once the texture is completely dry. The Imperials can not only dish it it out but they love working with suppression. With keywords like compel and Commander Vader just plain ignoring suppression, this will be a go to tool in your tool belt. What do I buy next for the Empire? The models must be assembled and glued down to a base before painting. For assembly, the arms slot easily into the torsos, and glue is highly recommended to keep them in place. I would go 100% using covering fire pip 3 or stop using the BF and go for Lando + Han + Chewie, where the pip 3 get some love and use. Finn ran this one against me in our most recent team league match. I won’t spoil it for you, but let’s just say you shouldn’t underestimate the melee ability of Mandos. Most of the units, with all the emplacement troopers, ask you to play more passively. Unfortunately that doesn’t win games! However, we need to leverage our greatest strength. This unit guide for Star Wars: Legion will cover the Rebel Veterans and their accompanying emplacement, the Mark 2 Medium Blaster. When Echo Base Defenders was launched I got real excited, because the Battle of Hoth was a formative experience for me so building a list around the idea was very exciting.

Step 6: Drybrushing

Comes with the box and you can consider them a pair, honestly. You can’t bring one without the Rebel Veterans but they rather cozily occupy a second corps slot, giving you two of your three right out of the gate. I’m sure you’re familiar with the S through F grades inherent in tier lists, but we’re going to add a bit more nuance to those ranks: Popularized by CowboyTyrone in Ladder and Invader League, this is what I like to call a “W Key” list, because it only has one mode; you just mash the “W” key and go forward. This list has so many wounds and Pierce [six(!) units with Pierce] that it is capable of just completely overrunning a Clone ball. There really isn’t much more to say about this list except “I bet you can’t handle all this fur.” Fantasy Flight Games is happy to announce the Limited Edition Luke Skywalker Commander Expansion, available soon at your local retailer! A Bistan Pathfinder unit also adds many more dice to the pool, increasing the odds of rolling a few surges to get those sweet sweet criticals. With Impact 1 that can be 3 or more hits against armor, which is nothing to scoff at!
