Disney has delivered a booty of Blu-ray treasure with 'The Curse of the Black Pearl,' so definitely pick up this disc without hesitation. Curse of the Black Pearl' is almost equal parts bright daylight scenes and deep, dark interiors, and I was really amazed how adroitly both are rendered. I remember finding Johnny Depp's frequent mumblings as Jack Sparrow almost incomprehensible at the theatrical screening I saw, but I had no such problems here.

Fast forward a couple years and I sent Disney USA photos of the front cover, the UPC, the disc and the code on the disc. they decided to go in the completely opposite direction by offering a modern digital version of Technicolor. Seemingly trapped by her responsibilities to her parents, including her ailing father, and their farm, Pearl is dazzled by the silver screen.In X Pearl acts strangely and murders the group of young people staying at the farm while filming a pornographic movie.

Also in response to Probedb's rather cursory reply to my intial post, as stated in my first post last week, Disney USA have promised a replacement disc but Disney UK have beaten them to it, despite terrible service from Royal Mail. Unlike 1987's Predator, whose prequel Preyis basking in post-premiere glory (as it should) almost forty years later, fans were thrilled to hear that West's slasher X would be getting a theatrical-release for Pearl only months after the first film dropped. Whether or not they bloom here in the states or if Capelight is working on a new Mediabook set to complement X, I don’t know. Her on-camera interviews have seen her engage with directors and stars as Andy Muschietti ( The Flash), Michael Bay ( Transformers), Kate Beckinsale ( Underworld), Lin-Manuel Miranda ( Hamilton), The CEO of Fathom Entertainment. For example, the climactic attack sequence is heavily color-corrected and chock-full of cgi elements, but is so stunning that it begs to be viewed over and over again.This color scheme may be distractingly beautiful, but it also deftly ties back into key moments within X completing Pearl’s journey from a horrible start to a shocking finish. The second track has the Producer Jerry Bruckheimer pair up with Brit actors Keira Knightley and Jack Davenport, and is a rather odd affair.

In X, Goth delivered a sensational dual-role tour de force performance as two very different women; Maxine, an aspiring young porn actress dreaming of stardom and – via the miracle of heavy prosthetics – as Pearl, an octogenarian who yearns for youthful attention and who didn’t take too kindly to the porn film the youngsters were making at her dilapidated farmhouse. The movie takes the key showpieces of the theme park ride and expands them handsomely into vast widescreen proportion, creating a whole new universe in the process. Like X, I haven’t been able to find any info if the film was finished in 4K, but with the image details present in this disc and the film’s gorgeous color scheme, it cries out for a 4K disc release.I was browsing through a reviews site on Friday 16th April when I came across an article about the framing issue. The Blu-ray releases have a few scenes misframed (it seems around 9 minutes of footage in total) vs. Detail is spot on and if you’ve done or will do a double feature this will be the far “dreamier” looking of the two.

The daughter of German immigrants, she’s stuck under the heel of her mother’s nature as the Great War rages amidst the influenza pandemic. The bonus disc includes optional Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Icelandic, Italian, Norwegian Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazilian), Spanish (Castilian), Spanish (Latin), Swedish subtitles. On the more positive side of things, the filmmakers do a nice job with Cuba Gooding Jr's character, so they do score some points there.

The included DTS HD Master Audio mix has a few moments where some muscle can be flexed, but by and large it’s a pretty straight-forward track. Apologies if some of you already know this and I'm repeating old info but like I said in my first post, I'm trying to provide as much info as possible for other people, so they can replace their incorrectly-framed versions with a minimum of fuss. And all the tech talk is more fascinating here than usual -- especially the section on the film's many pirate ships, as well as another on the CGI used to turn Geoffrey Rush and Barbossa's motley crew of undead into believable supernatural characters. The 4 discs come in separate slim cases in a cardboard box with the bonus disc placed inside "On Stranger Tides" Blu-ray case. The blood and gore is about as explicit as its hard R rating allows, yet it concerns itself less with body count and more with exposing the precarious psychology and dual nature of a disturbed mind… but in a visually pleasing manner.
