About this deal

Naturally when women are attracted to this man they want to know every little detail of his world, his EVERY thought and emotion, his actions and feelings in every relationship he has, his likes and dislikes on every topic under the sun. In spite of all the dark issues this book explores there are a surprising number of light and fun scenes and we get to see our beloved Fifty acting carefree and playful. I love his boyish delights in the simple things, like the gifts Ana gives him. It’s so adorable and while it made me grin it also made me a little sad thinking of all he missed out on growing up because of the things that happened to him. But it was great seeing him get to experience some of those things now with Ana. I expected of them. My fear now is that Miss Steele is just too young and that she won’t be interested in what I have to offer.” Sample from chapter 13 - He tips my chin up with his finger, leans down, and kisses me tenderly. "So are you." I smile. "Though I feel like I cheated. I didn't have to wait for you at all." He grins. "Am I that much of a prize?" "Christian, you are the state lottery, the cure for cancer, and the three wishes from Aladdin's lamp all rolled into one." He raises a brow. "When will you realize this?" I scold him.

Gideon Cross. Falling in love with him was the easiest thing I've ever done. It happened instantly. Completely. Irrevocably. Gideon calls me his angel, but he's the miracle in my life. My gorgeous, wounded warrior, so determined to slay my demons while refusing to face his own. See the world of Fifty Shades of Grey anew through the eyes of Christian Grey. In Christian's own words, and through his thoughts, reflections, and dreams, E L James offers a fresh perspective on the love story that has enthralled millions of readers around the world. Christian Grey exercises control in all things; his world is neat, disciplined, and utterly empty-until the day that Anastasia Steele falls into his office, in a tangle of shapely limbs and tumbling brown hair. He tries to forget her, but instead is swept up in a storm of emotion he cannot comprehend and cannot resist. Unlike any woman he has known before, shy, unworldly Ana seems to see right through him-past the business prodigy and the penthouse lifestyle to Christian's cold, wounded heart. Will being with Ana dispel the horrors of his childhood that haunt Christian every night? Or will his dark sexual desires, his compulsion to control, and the self-loathing that fills his soul drive this girl away and destroy the fragile hope she offers him? This book is intended for mature audiences I don't think a person needs to use profanity, and E.L. used too much in her first books. I don't think profanity makes you sound smarter or in any way more interesting. Now, that may be a given, but I don't want people reading my review, thinking that is what I'm saying.James has captured this archetypical man for us and put him in the modern world. Many serious and not-so-serious writers try but fail and we get literary crap or porn or shallow attempts at romance. She has done it without having an educated literary skill or technique. And she is learning. I will continue to buy every book she writes. This book is absolutely a must-read for fans. It is colossal – and tells so much more than Anastasia’s story. There are new scenes in Christian's story, shedding light on him and his family. This story pulls in more characters, and here we get to know how Christian feels about them all. From the changing relationship between him and his employees to Jose Rodriguez and Ethan Kavanagh. This book really adds to Christian and Anastasia’s story. In the Christian version, there simply seems to be the idea that his family is too polite to ask the question.

You make me look at the world differently, Anastasia. You don’t want me for my money. You give me… hope,” he says softly. But even with all this explanation, with the clear and well-trod defense of Christian, it’s difficult to understand him. Or rather, it’s difficult to understand why any woman in her right mind would take a chance on him. Where “Fifty Shades” readers could fill the mysterious blank slate of Mr. Grey with their own ideas of what he was thinking, in “Grey” the disturbing truth is revealed. Upon first meeting Ana, Christian must “repress [his] natural annoyance at [her] clumsiness.” When Ana vomits after drinking too much, he attempts to emotionally dominate her on the sidewalk outside the bar, thinking, “Let’s have some fun.” These moments slowly disappear as Ana changes him, teaching him to love, but it is difficult to forget what it is like to be inside “control-freak” Christian’s head. Sample from chapter 23 - "Oh ana," Christian whispers, his voice anguished and pained. "I thought I'd lost you. Then I thought I'd lost you again. Seeing you lying on the ground, pale and cold and unconscious, it was all my worst fears realized. And now here you are, brave and strong...giving me hope. Loving me after all that I've done. "Yes, I do love you Christian desperately. I always will." Gently taking my head between his hands, he wipes my tears away with his thumbs. He gazes into my eyes, gray to blue, and all I see is his fear, and wonder, and love. "I love you, too," He breathes. And he kisses me sweetly, tenderly, like a man who adores his wife.

Once again E. L. James has not disappointed. The critics pounce, not having a clue what makes this series so addictive for women. Even many women have no idea why they are so fixated on Christian Grey. Millions of copies sold to women who normally don't respond to graphic sexual description in print should give these erudite critics enough of a clue to re-think what James does that compels women to buy book after book. And guess what? We will keep on buying and buying, even if the faults of the books beg us to rewrite them for her. As anyone who has read the previous books knows, Ana and Christian’s story is one that is littered with secrets, betrayals, omissions of truth and it’s far from perfect. For me, the true beauty of this story lies within its imperfections it always has and always will. What drew me into this story first and foremost was the love story; two undeniably flawed people attempting and failing spectacularly at staying away from each other even when they know it could cost them everything. Being brave enough to embark on a new type of relationship, for both of them actually. Trying to overcome their insecurities, facing their greatest fears, sacrificing their needs for one another, and ultimately realizing that love is never easy, it’s messy and sometimes incredibly difficult and painful. She was a producer on each of the three Fifty Shades movies, which made more than a billion dollars at the box office. The third installment, Fifty Shades Freed, won the People’s Choice Award for Drama in 2018. Sample from chapter 10:"What's vanilla sex?" I ask, if anything to distract myself from the intense, burning, sexy look he's giving me. He laughs. "Just straightforward sex, Anastasia. No toys, no add-ons," He shrugs. "You know...Well actually you don't, but that's what it means." "Oh." I thought it was chocolate fudge brownie sex that we had, with a cherry on the top. But hey, what do I know?" To give you a better idea, compare the first chapter and Hardware store scene that E.L included in the original story. I don't understand people who were upset because it wasn't a different story. You can't change the dialog from one story to the next. The people are going to be saying the same things. With 125 million copies of the “Fifty Shades” series in print, there are few readers who don’t know precisely how they feel about EL James’s juggernaut of a series and its hero, Christian — the twitching palm that launched a million fantasies.

I just love the way E.L. James writes and I'm never disappointed in her books. I can always re-read them again and again.I love how Anna's subconscious is almost like another character in this wonder story. The subconscious will sometimes cheer Anna on, or at times make snide comments.
