I was infatuated with Fusion Extreme last winter when it was new and refused to buy it, as my collection is too large, but got to know it from sampling in a department store. The other day it presented itself to me for under 40E and I gave in. It is SUCH a non-binary designer synthetic scent. By that I mean a good mix of references to natural smells plus tangents into the abstract and arty. For that, it fits into the Miyake brand well. It's not pure like Cool Water Intense, which I experience as a soliflore of the flower, "molecule". (If a molecule could be a flower.) both cool and blazing) dissipate, filling the surroundings with their trailing scent. Underlying the notion of fusion is the choice of warm, volcanic wood featuring patchouli. For Nathalie Master Perfumer Nathalie Lorson composed Fusion d’Issey, a fougère for men with solar and mineral notes. A rewriting of a masculine classic. A play on contrasts between the cold and the heat of warming spices.

I tried this again today for probably the third or fourth time already, for me it's definitely been rewarding to try it more than once, I like it more each time. Usage & longevity - hight heat, in the mornings. Found this to be slightly cloying in the colder months and nights. 5-6 sprays on the body lasts me around 6-8 hours ( thanks to the ambroxan). I noticed this juice stays on the clothes quite well. I could still detect it on my shirts after 2-3 days as well. Conclusion: An exotic fougere, charming, modern, soft and easy-to-wear, although maybe not for everyone.I've been on a bit of a "Blue" journey lately (BdC, Aqva Atlantiqve, Polo Deep Blue, etc), so was expecting much of the same, but this does something very different. I’ve been told it is manly but fresh and on me the linear scent continues through the dry down pretty much unchanged apart from weakening (2-3 hours). Reminds me of - Guess indigo ( the closest juice with similar coconut and spice), Kenzo homme night, JPG le Beau ( 20-30% maybe).
