Good choice! There are many tools that can help you to perform a high-qualitative switch to Magento 2. In this case I can recommend you Cart2Cart. It securely moves Magento 1 to 2 keeping all data preserved and causes no harm to the Magento 1 performance through the whole switch procedure.

I was happy to be given the opportunity to try a free demo before deciding on full switch helped to be sure of all my data safety. I double checked the service and found out that it's still available.

So, all in all, I`m more than satisfied. Hope, it`ll work out for you good as well.

Good luck!

Mostly people want to migrate the website from Magento 1.x to Magento 2.x

I would like to through light on some points:-

1. It’s like making new website from scratch.
2. We have to check the theme you are using, it is supporting Magento 2 or not.
3. We have to check the list of extension, those are available in Magento 2 or not.
4. We have to check your database, What type of products you are having and many more to select data migration tool.

Note: - Theme, Extension and Migration tools all are paid.

Regards

Adrian
