The most impressive aspect is that it comes in a rather beautiful barrel shape or a nicely designed glass and wood stand. A sliver of oak is placed inside every bottle which further refines the oak flavor, making it one of the most authentic oak flavored vodkas anywhere. Polish vodka: Potato Vodkas Polish liqueurs are typically made by infusing spirits (often vodka) with fruits, herbs, spices, and other natural ingredients. The base spirit is crucial as it extracts the flavours from the added ingredients, creating a harmonious and balanced liqueur. The production process involves maceration, where the ingredients are soaked in the spirit for an extended period, allowing their flavours to meld and intensify. Traditionally however, vodka didn’t need any extras and was served “neat”(no ice, no add ins). One of the reasons this is still the best way to drink vodka is because you truly begin to appreciate the taste and the smooth finish. The recipes used for Soplica vodkas and liqueurs were developed by Kasprowicz himself, recipes which are followed today. He authored a range of formulas, which he initialized (along with a picture of a carp) and documented in a book called ‘Recepturarz’. Kasprowicz also began a custom at Soplica of naming products with references to Polish tradition and literature, a custom that can still be seen on modern versions of Soplica vodka.

Created in honor of the famous 1911 expedition to the South Pole, Amundsen vodka has a delicate flavor, and uses crystal clear water, and a slow filtering process that takes out all the impurities creating a neutral aroma. The neat method is also a no frills, no time waster, fastest way to enjoy it. On the flip side, many vodka aficionados argue that serving it straight up gives vodka that extra intensity experience. One of the older industrially produced brands of Polish vodka, Soplica Vodka was first madein 1891. Its creator, Boleslaw Kasprowicz, founded the Factory of Vodka and Liqueur in Gniezno where it was created in 1888 and a replica of the first bottling is held in the Museum of the Origins of the Polish State in the same city to this day.
