The Bantam is more suited to a more intensive massage than the mini 2. For an aggressive massage, you can press it harder against the muscle (even large muscle groups). Theragun mini 2 feels more like it’s meant to glide over the skin without applying pressure. The new Theragun mini isn’t just a complementary device, it can be effective on its own. We also love the reduced size and the new sound it makes when you turn it on. The Bantam also features better ergonomics. It has a 15-degree angled handle that allows for a more natural and firm grip. It’s comparably quiet, but has a smoother sound. This is minor, but I wish the soft carry case was just a little bit bigger to fit the two extra attachments. As it is, it only fits the device itself with just one attachment on it.

The Theragun Mini was already my favorite Therabody massage gun because of its triangle shape and perfect palm size. It was easier to grip than any other mini massage gun, arguably easier than any other massage gun of any size I had tried, and enabled you to add direct pressure to sore areas with much less friction than with the standard L-shaped massage gun.

Using the Theragun Mini 2

The new mini is still expensive and isn’t as versatile as Ekrin Bantam, which we still believe is the best mini around. Despite its small stature, the Mini 2 feels pretty durable thanks to the hard plastic build. The attachments are made from high-quality foam that is firm and forgiving, allowing you to use it on sensitive areas while still providing a deep tissue massage. Battery

The Hypervolt Go 2 may be considered the natural alternative to the new mini 2 due to the rivalry between the two giant brands. This one has a more classic look – it looks more like the Bantam but larger. The new mini and Ekrin Bantam are true mini massagers. The Go 2 is bigger and heavier. You can always add more, but once you have this information filled out, the “For You” tab will have various routines based on your selections.
