Yeah I'd just throw it away and open a fresh one. Will only be a few days whilst I'm in there so it's not the end of the world to throw it away.Saying that I plan on trying cow n gate first this time - when I visted their stand at a baby show they said that aptamil was part of the same company and there was very little difference in the formulas (but a big dif in price!) with my first 11 years ago i was told to use aptamil as it has certain things in which breast milk does, but baby brain isn't letting me remember what! also its closest to breast milk and has less bad sugar than the others. Last time I did end up throwing milk away as once opened they last 1 hour (although 2 hours is fine!!) but like someone said, the hospital stay should be a short time so wasted milk isn't the end of the world! I'm taking these, they sell them just off the shelf though they don't need fridge or anything so don't know why there would be a storage issue?? Ah no one can say really how long anyone's going to stay. With my first 2 I was in for 3-4 days while my friend had her youngest the day after me and was out the same day! Hoping obviously for less this time but you can't anticipate these things! Breastfeeding is best.
