This release of Mad Max Fury Road is the third to come from the Titans of Cult label, following on from Blade Runner and Wonder Woman. The biggest piece here is “Public Enemies”, a fascinating 1hr 45m documentary which explores the history of gangster movies from the days of early silent cinema, with plenty of clips and interviews with a huge range of participants.

Reality is a world run by artificially intelligent machines who control the human slaves in a simulated 20th Century. If you’ve got a bit of a budget, like collectables, and are into 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs, then the Titans Of Cult range will likely already be pretty familiar [...] All of this is once again housed in a transparent plastic case, which is printed with complementary artwork.
The Titans of Cult series of collectors edition steelbook releases got off to a great start with Blade Runner and Wonder Woman, and now the third release is with us – the epic Mad Max: Fury Road. Speaking of the Blu-ray, there’s obviously a dip in impact compared to the 4K disc, but be in no doubt this is still a superb transfer, and pretty much reference quality as far as HD goes. Once again, there’s plenty of detail, colours pop, and highlights and shadow detail are very impressive for the format. Next, as usual for ToC releases, is an exclusive, themed pin badge. Once again this is well designed, and feels solidly built. The dedicated bonus Blu-ray disc, carried over from the 2015’s 25th Anniversary release, includes a good selection of documentaries, totaling over 3 hours. As a Titans of Cult release, the film marks a huge – but nonetheless welcome – shift away from the type of genre movies that have been released by the label so far.Sounds from the Cold – Interviews with Supervising Sound Editor David Lewis Yewdall and Special Sound Effects Designer Alan Howarth (14:53, 1080p) Titans of Cult will only decide a fillm title for a release as part of Titans of Cult label if there is already available a existing 4K UHD disc of that film from the film studio distributor Vintage Featurettes – The Making of a Chilling Tale (5:14, 480i) and The Making of THE THING (9:20, 480i) Based on a true life story, Goodfellas follows Henry Hill, who works his way up from being a teenage errand boy for the Brooklyn mob, to becoming a leading figure in organized crime in New York. The discs inside the steelbook will be the existing discs from Universal 2021 4K UHD+ Blu-ray releases
