When your turn is over it is the next player's turn. Before the next player decides what to do, any money cards or building tiles which have been removed are replaced with new ones so that there are four of each again. If you reach the end of the money cards the discarded money is shuffled and placed face-down to make a new pile. Finally, there are some modules in the Alhambra Big Box which are a little more convoluted and cumbersome. For example, The Street Trader, which introduces citizens into your Alhambra and The Art of The Moors, which brings in culture. For me, these are a ‘step too far’. In the role of master builders the players try to hire experts from all across Europe to erect buildings for their Palace, who all insist on being paid in their native currency. Take a currency card from the money market, or multiple cards, so long as the sum of the cards is less than five. The 3rd round of scoring takes place at the end of the game; points are then also awarded to the players with the third highest number of buildings of each kind as shown in the example and on the points table on the tile reserve board. It is not allowed to leave any “spaces” (i.e. an empty area surrounded on all sides by building tiles).

Personally, there are certain modules that I would always include like Change and The Workers Huts. These are easy to understand, simple to set-up and don’t really impact on game length. On top of these, it’s probably worth adding a further three or four modules. Any more than that and the game becomes over-complicated and unwieldy. Should you add this to your collection? Sure. Alhambra is a decent game for newcomers and casual gamers because of all the reasons listed above. If you find your game nights skew more towards Le Havre and Dungeon Lords, Alhambra may not necessarily be for you, but you may find it worthwhile to hold onto for nights when you have rookies and non-gamer family over.Zatu has an excellent range of games and for most of them the best prices too. Delivery is always fast and I have never received a game in bad condition. 10/10 would recommend. Some tiles have walls along one or more edges. When players add tiles to their Alhambra, it must be possible to "walk" from the new tile to their starting fountain, i.e. it must be possible to trace a path from the fountain to the new tile while remaining within tiles and without crossing through any walls.
