Hi all, what is the best plugin or 'app' for Magento? Does it work in the same way as (for example) the Yoast SEO plugin for WordPress? Thanks, Simon

Hi all, what is the best plugin or 'app' for Magento?

There are lots of them on Magento Connect - free and paid.

For our store we used the free extension by Creare - but it turned to be pretty buggy. Next we switched to Mirasvit SEO module - quite good and effective tool.
But due to the fact that in our store we have more than 100,000 products, and each product page is in need of optimization, we decided to switch to SEO Suite Ultimate by MageWorx - the tool allows managing large amounts of important meta data for product pages. In addition, it is good at rich snippet optimization.

I used three different extensions for optimization of my store:
- AW seo suite
- mirasvit seo suite
- mageworx seo suite ultimate

AW extension seems like a child in compare to others. It simple does nothing helpful for SEO. Don't even use it.
Mirasvit module provides many features and some of them are nice. But the most part is not user-friendly and very hard to configure. It doesn't suite for large catalogs either.
Mageworx extension seems the winner for me. It could optimize all my pages from one place. Moreover, only their support helps you to configure the extension free of charge.

I didn't use Amasty module but according to the description it's just a combination of already existing modules -> nothing special and new for me.
