From the creators of Unstable Unicorns, Here to Slay is an adorable and brutal new card game that is perfect for players of all skill levels, whether you’re just entering the world of role-playing games or honing your masterful skills. Actions cards will state on them if you can use their effect without spending any action points, so keep on the lookout for those during your game.

Here to Slay! reminds me of the game Munchkin in many ways. Fighting monsters, playing item cards to help, and ultimately, betraying your friends to climb to the top and claim victory. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsPZoEJyYMM Video can’t be loaded because JavaScript is disabled: Here to Slay | How to Play (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsPZoEJyYMM) If a player defeats a Monster card, then they gain the skill displayed on the defeated Monster card for their party to use during the rest of the game. Monsters:Players have the ability to play item cards which can either boost their own party or curse other party players giving them a negative effect, on top of this there are also modifier cards which give a positive or negative value to players roll if they had just successfully rolled to defeat a monster this card can be played to tip the odds in your favour and stop them from taking the win! But be aware, they also have the ability to counter should they have a modifier card themselves! Item cards are enchanted weapons and objects that can be equipped to your heroes to bestow them with special advantages and skills. Most items give beneficial effects and are meant to be equipped to heroes in your own party, but a handful of items, called cursed items, can be equipped to enemy heroes to give them disadvantages. Once a player uses all 3 action points, their turn is over, but players can announce that their turn is over without using their action points too. The artwork on this game is fantastic. You can’t help but fall in love with some of the adorable characters represented. My personal favourite being fuzzy Cheeks the Squirrel Bard! How Does the Game Play?

In this game, you’ll assemble a full party of heroes to slay dangerous monsters while working to avoid the sabotage of your foes. The game also includes items you can equip to your heroes, 1V1 challenge cards, and roll modifiers to tip the odds in your favor. » HOW TO PLAY « The Here to Slay rules state that players need to create the best, most diverse team of characters that can defeat 3 monsters to win the game overall. During each player’s turn, they get 3 action points that they use with different actions using a different number of points depending on what the action chosen is. Start set-up by gathering together all of the different cards, separating them, and placing them in separate piles.
