Let’s re-sync your earbuds by first placing both of them into the charge case and ensure that both of the LEDs turn red. Then simply remove both earbuds together. Skullcandy originally produced the Smokin’ Buds 2, classic wired earbuds that offer excellent sound for an ideal price. Recently they added a wireless version of this model, simply called the Smokin’ Buds 2 wireless. Diehard lovers of the original have found that the newer wireless version is just as comfortable with impressive sound clarity.When your earbuds are placed correctly into the charge case, they will always be powered off as long as the case battery is charged. The LEDs will show solid RED to indicate they are powered off and charging.

To use Solo Mode when you’ve previously paired to your earbuds, simply remove either earbud from the charge case and it will function with both phone calls and music. Important to note, if your earbuds are not automatically powering OFF and charging when placed into the case, or automatically powering ON when removed from the case, please ensure that the case battery isn’t completely drained. If the case battery is dead the earbuds will not register that they have been placed into or removed from the case. Give that case a charge and you should be good to go. Tap the touch sensor on either or both earbuds twice, and then press and hold for one second (2x tap, then 1 second hold) Both the wired and wireless versions have great sound quality, which coincides well with their price. While Skullcandy doesn’t go into too much detail about the technology behind the sound quality of their earbuds, the majority of customers agree that compared to others, these have an excellent crisp sound and great bass. These won’t provide the “boom” some bassheads crave, but they still are far from disappointing. When charging the device, we recommend using a cable, charger , or outlet with a power output that does not exceed 18-Watt (5 Volts/3.6amps). An advantage of classic wired earbuds is features like line-in mics or remote control for music. The original Smokin’ Buds 2 has a single button used for placing/taking a call and music control. You can play or pause your song, or cycle through songs to find the right one. While some brands drop the line-in remote feature with their wireless earbuds, Skullcandy did not. The wireless Smokin’ 2s actually has an easier-to-use remote. Rather than a single button, the wireless version has 3 buttons. These include the classic + and – buttons for volume control as well as a middle button, with the Skullcandy logo, for taking calls or pausing/playing music. Being able to control music and calls without taking out your phone is an obvious benefit. To charge your earbuds, place them in the charging case and the LEDs will turn solid red for 5 seconds to indicate they are charging. You can close the case lid at any time. A 10-minute charge of the charging case via your USB-C cable will provide 2+ hours of battery play time.

PRO TIP: If your earbuds are not automatically powering OFF or charging when placed into the case, or powering ON when removed from the case, please ensure that the case battery isn’t completely drained.
