About this deal
Safeguard offer two options for the treatment of damp rising through existing concrete floors. We also offer solutions for waterproofing slabs during construction. 1. Drybase Liquid-Applied Damp-Proof Membranes Extensively tested for high performance and produced in accordance with quality and environmental management systems - 1L Coverage: Approx. 1m² Damp rising through concrete floor slabs is fairly common, causing damp issues on carpets and floor coverings, warping wooden floors and increasing the likelihood of low-level mould growth. The damp-proof membranes used during construction of concrete floors are often thin, and can easily become torn before they are laid, rendering them ineffective. Always allow the first coat to become touch dry (typically one hour) before applying a second coat at right angles to the first. The first coat should not be allowed to dry for more than 24 hours before applying the second coat.
Low Odour thanks to its water-based and Bitumen-Free formulation, presenting excellent adhesion and drip-resistant properties. Where a solution requiring minimal surface preparation is required, Oldroyd Xs Slimline membrane should be considered.High-Strength damp-proof barrier highly effective against moisture ingress and ground gases in floors and walls. Once cured Drybase Liquid-Applied DPM provides a barrier to damp and ground gases (including radon, carbon dioxide, and methane). Oldroyd Xs Slimline Membrane is a tough, polypropylene membrane that can be laid on top of damp concrete floors with minimal surface preparation. A wide choice of flooring types can then be laid on top, e.g.screeds, particle board, laminated wooden flooring.
