About this deal

Other ends of the wire you van connect to the 7,4 - 8.4 v power supply, or to the external battery. I connected my adapter to NP-F battery. Thé winner is a z 50 with Olympus stabilization, Fuji lens line up, anti dust from Olympus, Sony autofocus. The battery is rated at 320 shots per charge when using the rear screen and 280 through the viewfinder, according to CIPA standard tests. As always with these figures, it's quite normal to get many more shots than this, depending on your shooting style. We regularly find ourselves getting around double the rated figure.

So far, everything Nikon has done seems great, and it really is. However, there is one major issue I noticed from the get-go when handling the Z50, and it is the same thing Nikon engineers plagued the Nikon Z6 and Z7 cameras with – there is no way to get rid of all the overlay information when using the LCD! I don’t understand how Nikon does so many things right only to royally screw up something so basic. When shooting with the Z50 on a tripod, there is no way to turn off information overlay (such as aperture, shutter speed, and ISO), no matter how many times you toggle between different display options. There is no menu in the camera that allows you to change this behavior, so you basically have to live with it. We are now three cameras into the Z line-up, and it is almost hard to believe that Nikon has completely ignored this issue. All that’s needed is a simple firmware update, which we are yet to see. NIKON Z 50 + NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR @ 16mm, ISO 500, 1/25, f/5.6 The Z50 uses a new EN-EL25 battery. It's a small 8.5Wh unit but one that can be charged over the camera's USB connector. Twin control dials immediately stand out, making it much easier to control key exposure settings than on the single-dial D5x00 DSLRs. Nikon's 'Easy Exposure Comp.' option means you can access exposure compensation in Shutter- or Aperture-Priority modes, without the need to press any other buttons. Magnesium alloy construction also hints at higher-end ambitions. Its inexpensive, super sharp with good bokeh and works great with FTZ. I use one.

image area, (L)3712 x 3712 (13.8 million), (M)2784 x 2784 (7.8 million), (S)1856 x 1856 (3.4 million) Seems like a really nice camera for that price. Quite interesting how Canon and nikon went two separate ways when it comes to their APS-C and ff milcs mounts. Nikon has the same mount so id you want to upgrade in the future you dont have to sell all the lenses to and of you shoot both formats you can use the same lenses but it is a Huge mount made for big sensors. Canons ef-m mount Will be a dead end for those that want to upgrade but fullformat is a pretty small segment so for most buyers it Will not be a problem. For those like me Who shoot my seriouys work with a ff camera but Would love to have a smaller and cheaper camera when i go om vacation etc Will need to buy separate lenses but on the other hand it Will be a mount made for smaller sensors so the lenses Will be more compact. Both are designed to be great all-rounders, but that extra real estate for the Z6 image sensor sees an asking price of more than double that of the Z50’s.If you’re a travel photographer, there’s also the fact that the Z6 is bigger, heavier and bulkier too. Place the Z50 next to its full-frame siblings, the Z6 and Z7, and you can definitely see the family resemblance. There’s the same kind of layout, viewfinder placement and button layout, only in a more compact frame. That is all. Now assemble battery case with the controller inside with some super glue, and you have an adapter. Sporting a 20.9 MP DX sensor, fast phase-detection autofocus system, 11 FPS continuous shooting speed, ability to record high-quality 4K video at up to 30 FPS without any crop (Full HD slow motion at up to 120 FPS) and a compact, lightweight construction with great body build and ergonomics, the Nikon Z50 is certainly a serious camera to consider for new and existing Nikon shooters.

The Z50 is wonderful, but the star of the current Nikon DX mirrorless gear is that little 16-50 pancake zoom. Easily the best kit lens I've ever used - I'm talking about more basic kit lenses like the Sony 16-50, Fuji 16-50, Sony 28-70, Olympus 14-42, etc. Obviously some cameras come bundled with very nice lenses and I wouldn't really call them kit lenses.

Anyway the main point is other than only true nikon users for general public it is hard to be excited about something they can do for ages on other mounts. The Nikon Z50 uses the same AF system as the Z6, with the impressive array of 209 points giving you 90% coverage across the frame. A detailed list of camera specifications is available at NikonUSA.com. NIKON Z 50 + NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR @ 110mm, ISO 100, 1/1250, f/8.0

Compared to the Nikon D3500 and D7500 that have a total of 10 buttons, the Z50 only has 6 total buttons, in addition to the multi-selector OK button. Nikon was able to do this by moving three of the buttons to the touchscreen area. Now, if you want to be able to zoom in / out via the EVF or the LCD, you have to touch the right side of the LCD screen. The Z50 looks a lot like a slightly scaled-down Z6 or Z7, with a prominent viewfinder hump protruding from the middle of the camera and a fairly substantial handgrip extending forward from the body, without it ever looking like it's masquerading as a DSLR. Key takeaways The two Z mount DX lenses launched with the camera, the Nikon Z DX 16-50mm VR and the Nikon Z DX 50-250mm VR are both attractive choices for those who want to keep their camera kit small and lightweight, but for those who want more lens options, there are plenty of excellent Z-mount full-frame lenses already available, as well as older Nikon F lenses (both DX and FX) using the FTZ adapter. While testing out the camera, I purposefully limited myself to only the two DX kit zoom lenses the camera came with, so that I can demonstrate their capabilities and see if they are sufficient for most day-to-day needs of photographers. NIKON Z 50 + NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR @ 18.5mm, ISO 100, 3 sec, f/5.6The M5 with the 15-45 and eventually the 22 mm f/2 will be perfect. Very small, perfectly adequate AF and interface. The 28 mm is so unknown that I don't want to wait. Auto ISO can be used in manual exposure mode and combined with exposure compensation, so you can specify the aperture and shutter speed value you wish to use, and the target brightness you want the camera to maintain.
