Zeppeli ultimately dies during the series of battles, passing his Hamon to Jonathan. When Funnier betrays his crew and kills Pocoloco Tripleseven, Jorge grabs Narancia's knife and tries to stab Funnier but the astronaut dodges and disarms Jorge, stabbing Jorge in the shoulder instead. As Funnier escapes, Narancia fires a cruise missile which collides with the escape pod, killing Funnier. Narancia's giant U-Boat rams into the side of the H.G. Wells due to The Eyed Balloon's tentacles. Narancia and Jorge jump into the hole of the submarine and Narancia immediately pilots it away. Hero Antagonist: If Araki's word is to be believed and the true protagonist of Phantom Blood is not Jonathan, but actually the villainous Dio, then Jonathan is the part's heroic antagonist.

Firstly, while there’s technically no plot holes, the universe reason there are no plot holes is unsatisfying now and again. You see, the second book of this trilogy, Disco Wednesdayyy, not only expects you to have read Tsukumojuku, but also a ton of author Otaro Maijo’s other works. Mainly his debut novel titled Smoke, Soil, or Sacrifices, another novel titled The World is Made Out of Closed Rooms, and also a novel titled Asura Girl. There are summaries of the first 2, and Asura Girl actually got an English release. I would’ve personally chosen Smoke, Soil, or Sacrifices to bring over, but I digress.
