As subtle as it is striking, Alex Donahue (Creator behind Pride and Terra-Time) has produced a truly unique timepiece that is sure to attract attention. What started as a mixed metal experiment, Gradient has become one of our more beautiful designs to date. WATCH is a Community Interest Company (CIC). This means that everything we do must be for the benefit of the community. At WATCH, our focus is on creating an environment to allow our members to reach their potential in their own way. We are organised as a co-operative meaning that anyone who does benefit in this way has a right to become a member and all members, and only members, run WATCH democratically. WATCH was founded in 2010 by members of the Chard Intentional Peer Support Group and continues to be built around the lived experience of members to help them form sound peer friendships which extend in their local area and the wider community. At first you could be forgiven for thinking that reading the time is not an easy task with this Projects Twirler watch. Of course, this isn’t Sherman’s first foray into the world of fashion; Raf Simons cited her as inspiration for his most recent collection, she collaborated with Louis Vuitton on a handbag and starred in a 90s Comme des Garçons campaign.

If I could make one design suggestion, it would be: For what they were trying to do, they did it well, I have nothing. Cindy Sherman is known for her conceptual portraits. The artist’s most famous works, including “Untitled Film Stills” (1978-80), feature herself in different guises: the star of a B-movie for example, or the subject of a European portrait painting. For her latest project – created in collaboration with Harper’s Bazaar – she’s devised a wholly different kind of alter ego: a modern-day street-style star.
