This is a food retailer first at Christmas and we feel Lidl is best placed to take our customers there! Lidl's ad starts in the present day, as a family - complete with pet dog - sit around a kitchen table preparing for a traditional Christmas lunch. Viewers are also treated to a preview of Lidl’s new 2021 Christmas jumper (and what it might look like in years to come), worn by one of the characters throughout the advert. Beginning in present day, the advert focuses on a family celebrating a traditional Christmas feast that showcases Lidl's brilliant new festive food range, before being transported to different decades in the future.
A futuristic meat-carving laser is used to serve the turkey and the group discusses how some family members have moved to the Moon. It follows the release of the highly-anticipated Christmas adverts premiered by John Lewis, Disney and Marks & Spencer yesterday (Thursday).
