About this deal

I haven't seen that particular seat used, but the belt path looks like it would secure the seat in forward facing mode. There is NO lock off clip for the seat belt with this seat so you must tighten the seat belt before every single journey, without fail!

Despite its name, the Nania doesn’t convert to a booster seat – this is another all-in-one affair that is aimed at toddlers and older children.

Team Tex the manufacturer of the Nania car seats are happy to replace any of the old versions of the seat with a brand new, modified version as a gesture of goodwill". The Nania Trio Car Seat comes with a booklet containing installation, harness, maintenance, and warning instructions. It is more likely to be better suited to those wanting something to carry older passengers, therefore. But a 5 month old should not have grown out of a group 0+ seat - they can be used comfortably to over a year by the majority of babies.

We had a Britax First Class for ds1 when he was around 5/6mth (dh snapped the polystyrene on it so we didn't bother saving it for dc2. Be warned it is quite unusual to use a car seat on a European airline and you'll have people trying to take it off you all the time to put it in the hold, apparently. thanks bertiebotts, there is no chance of her wearing a coat anyway in her seat, she is 5mts but wearing clothes for 9-12 mths, health visitor says there are only 2% of babies at her age that are her size. There is a degree of adjustment in the straps, but they can only be moved up and down to a couple of positions, but they attach at five points to keep the little one secure. Is adapted for children from birth, it is positioned rearward facing position from 0 to 10kg, then forward facing position from 9 to 18kg. it is ok, but needs a good deal of force to get it secure with the seatbelt (otherwise wobbles), but is ok once in.

I feel that if the child was travelling in an extended rear facing seat, he maybe wouldn’t have sustained any injuries – but that is just my personal speculation. The lap belt is slightly forward (not pulling the seat back), which is the only reason I can think of for it’s incompatibility, and why the seat was not secure when I tested it – Watch the video to find out more! There is no flexibility, and it is shaped more like a seat than an infant carrier, so might not be something you want for the very early weeks and months. My dd is 5 months but the car seat she has been using is very narrow and she is a big girl and is too squashed. Most available Isofix car seats have universal approval to secure with seat belts, in addition to car specific approval.
