In some cases, it leaves bumps and dents in the fabric. Sometimes, it’s easy to smoothen it out and other times, it’s not. The Fnatic Dash mousepad was one that smoothened out pretty easily, so I was hopeful for this one too. To make it simple, I'm going to compare it to the Xtrfy GP4 (my main for the past two months), which is more or less universally considered a great mousepad. Sadly I don't have my Zero soft anymore but relatively speaking the zero is a bit faster than the GP4 but not all that dissimilar. The surface of the mousepad is made of micro-woven cloth. There’s a Steelseries logo in the bottom left corner that is minimalistic enough to stay out of sight – pretty much. I found this rang true. After upgrading from a cheap, unbranded mouse pad, it was an amazing experience being able to use a mat that was designed specifically for gaming. There was no drag at all and no matter what mouse I was using, as I test quite a few for my job, they always slid right across my desk with ease.
