I primed the entire model with Retributor Armour spray . I then went in with some regular Retributor Armour and covered any areas the spray missed to make sure it had a nice, solid coat. Drybrush the darker metal areas with Ironbreaker, and highlight the lighter areas with Scale 75 Heavy Metal. None of that has anything to do with the quality of Citadel’s rattle cans: Retributor Armour spray dries beautifully. Even if I have to brush-prime the odd crevice and touch it up with a spot of paint, I’ve still saved a ton of time here. Look at their wee nameplates! In step 2 above switch the Vallejo metal color gold and Vallejo metal color copper mixture to Scale 75 dwarven gold.

I then used thinned-down Wyldwood to paint the script on the purity seal and to define the line between the two pieces of paper a bit more. Repeat step 3 but with Citadel XV -88 highlighting less of the armour. You want your highlights to be hitting the raised parts and points of interest.
