About this deal

If your unit has type BLM80 and the date code from 14x01 to 15x22, where “x” is a letter (e.g.14S52), it may be affected. Please proceed to the following point. Read on to find out more about the new breed of mini blenders, and why a bigger blender might be better for you. Could you let me know whether the mug part is dishwasher safe please? By MT - Hertfordshire - 16 March 2018 It comes with a pair of specially-shaped sports bottles, so you can either have one with you and one ready for next time, or use both if you’re out and about with a partner. They’re made from durable Tritan, a material that’s regularly used for sports drinking bottles, and come with rubber lid covers, so there’s no need to even take the top off to drink your smoothies or shakes. Is this the smoothie attachment that attaches into the blade which then attaches into the machine base? By Hp - - 08 May 2017

Blended nutrition ON THE GO. This convenient, compact blender has 300W power and features two 0.5L travel beakers with handles. Ideal for those who want to blend their smoothies and enjoy on the go. If you own a BLEND-X PRO BLM800, type BLM80 only, please proceed through the following procedure to determine if you have a unit affected. Blending settings The more speed settings a blender has, the more flexibility you'll get over what you can make. If you want to make a range of purees, look for one with a higher number of speed settings. Pre-set programs can help to take the guesswork out of common jobs such as whipping up a smoothie or dip. While we test every blender against some of the toughest ingredients out there (ginger, spinach, frozen berries, nuts and ice), what's best for you won't be best for everyone. More for blitzing beginners than hardcore health fans, if up until now you’ve been reluctant to invest in a smoothie maker or compact blender, the Sport 2Go is an affordable way to find out how much use you’d get out of this type of appliance. The design of the silver base isn’t dissimilar from the Smoothie 2Go but much like the Sport 2Go’s elegantly tapered bottles, it’s sleeker and neater. Compact enough to store in even a tiny kitchen, it’s light at 3kg, with a long power cord and non-slip feet. We decided to try a couple of combinations to put the Sport 2Go through its paces. There aren’t many recipes included but these do give examples of foods you can use to make smoothies. We started with a mixture of ice, fruit, yoghurt and honey. Next, we tried a green smoothie using spinach, fruit, ice, yoghurt and juice. This produced a thinner consistency but some pieces of fruit skin were still visible despite the Sport 2Go being run on High for around 40 seconds and a few pulses. It was also frothier than the previous blend. However, in both, the ice cubes were completely crushed and most of the fibrous fruit was well blended.

One of the pros of a big blender is just how much you can make in it, with some it's more than two litres in one go. Now of course it has plenty of rivals, so we thought it was about time we retested it to see if it can compete with similar cheap mini blenders from the likes of Argos, Lakeland and Tefal. The bottles might be the ideal size for carrying around but their slender design means that any ingredients need to be cut down to size to fit through the opening. In this case, 2cm chunks, which was time-consuming. Kenwood’s no newbie when it comes to the world of blenders and smoothie makers, its Smoothie 2Go launching a couple of years ago, but the Sport 2Go is the first aimed at those with an overtly active lifestyle.

Need a blender but not sure what type to go for? Discover more about your options and see some of our current Best Buy blenders Some of these mini models aced our tests, earning themselves a Best Buy seal of approval for their smooth blends. Others were more mediocre. We've just retested the classic Magimix Le Blender alongside newer big blenders such as the AEG Gourmet 7 Compact Jug Blender.
