About this deal
You will find there's new problem throughout our football memorabilia collections - the flat football. In time, the actual bladders contained in the footballs turn out to be brittle and break up. It doesn't mean that your ball doesn't have a value as the flat football can be serviced. There's a excellent football repair service now provided by National Sports Distributors. In regards to having a classic flat football mended you want to utilize NSD simply because they know the proper care required to fix a flat football, especially the autographed football. For a very reasonable cost, you can get a brand-new bladder, new white laces and have your football shipped in about one week. It makes absolutely no difference which football you have (Spalding, Wilson, Baden, Nike, Rawlings, White Panel, Game Ball, etc) NSD will most likely be able to fix the flat football. When you are wanting a signed football serviced it is crucial to work with us. Let’s be realistic, autographed memorabilia can smear, especially the footballs autographed with silver pen or ink. The silver ink never ever dries thoroughly. Once the football restoration is carried out, the bladder provided will be a better one than the bladder originally provided by the manufacturer years before. Obviously, where you place your football is a big factor. If you keep your football in a warm outdoor shed, that football can dry out and turn brittle. If you store the football indoors without big temperature variations, the lifespan on the ball is going to be a lot longer. Proper storage of your sports memorabilia is very important. We respect valuable historic artifacts, and irreplaceable autographed balls so we advise a consultation to make sure the process is appropriate. Please call Paul Cunningham at 201-857-4647 for a free consultation. AUTOGRAPH DISCLAIMER: If you send us a leather football with an autograph on it, you are agreeing that Wilson is not responsible for any damage to the ball that may occur while doing the repair. Paste the inner tube to the balloon coating at the inflation valve. To do this, use the Bostik and wait at least 12 hours until the gluing is firm. This will allow you to reinsert the inner tube into the balloon (the outer portion of the ball) without the two detaching.

The included crochet hook worked great for removing the old valve. A little soap and it worked fine. It was a pretty old valve that couldn't hold any pressure though, so I could see that being a problem on a tighter valve. ALL SIZES: We will replace bladders and laces on any size leather football: pee wee, junior, youth, collegiate/high school and professional sizes.EASY TO USE - Includes aluminum tool for easy removal of old valve and installation of new valve. No unnecessary, bulky tools to work with. I bought this to repair my son's punchured punch ball. It had had a slow puncture for weeks, but was deflating faster over time. On each occasion, the fluid in the syringe solidified halfway through the "injection" into the ball and proved totally ineffective. Technical note: We use genuine butyl rubber bladders which weigh about 4oz more than Polyurethane bladders. Polyurethane bladders are used in most modern footballs. We've repaired hundreds of footballs, including Wilson, Rawlings, Nike and Spalding footballs, some surprisingly new. We've noted that polyurethane bladders don't expand and contract, making them vulnerable to changes in air pressure and changing weather conditions. What we see every day is that polyurethane bladders aren't very durable and they actually disintegrate. In contrast, butyl rubber expands and contracts with changes in air pressure, so butyl rubber bladders, while a bit heavier than polyurethane, are simply more durable. Like all inflated sports balls, butyl rubber bladders will slowly bleed air over time and will need to be re-inflated periodically. Please refer to our Football Repair FAQ if you have any questions.
