About this deal

The nose has both vanilla buttercream and amber caramel with funky vanilla buttercream notes thrown in, all at different points in this huge complex monolithic nose. A hint of green apple creeps in before it moves on to a dry earthy nuance. Some very lightly roasted oak peppercorns and dried orange peel come out and join the fruit and oak and give you a nice touch of sweetness. It has a juicy sweet apple taste with hints of light spice and caramel. The bourbon finish is on point. Speaking of Heaven Hill, all of their whiskies are distilled at Bernheim Distillery which is located in Louisville. From there, the whiskey is barreled up and matured on one of six different campus’s that Heaven Hill owns.

Cherry Cola

It is a smooth, rich, bold, and flavorful bourbon, and its price tag is on point, plus it’s easy to find. The 7 year is a nice, spicy bourbon that stands out among the crowd of young, sweet bourbons that are currently dominating the shelves. The 7 years is bottled in a bond which means it meets all of the legal requirements to be considered a bonded bourbon. During this time frame, Heaven Hill was proud to release ultra-premium ultra-aged products like this one. It was only until the mid-90’s that Heaven Hill started producing younger bourbons for survival purposes. The flagship bourbon of Evan Williams is produced in Heaven Hill Distillery, and it is aged longer than required by law. Nothing in the Terms shall exclude or limit our liability for fraudulent misrepresentation or for death or personal injury resulting from gross negligence or willful misconduct by us.

The mash bill used to make Evan Williams is Heaven Hill Distillery’s traditional bourbon mash bill: 78 percent corn, 12 percent malted barley, and 10 percent rye. This grist is used across a large percentage of the distillery’s bourbons. The distinguishing factors between the resulting products are age, storage, and barrel finish — among other heavenly secrets. Ever since the Rye Craze of earlier in the decade, when even the humblest Ryes were sometimes in short supply, Rye Whiskey has become at least slightly more expensive than comparable Bourbon. You’ll see that reflected in the prices below. Each year, Evan Williams honors U.S. military veterans through its American-Made Heroes program by sharing individual inspiring stories and producing limited-edition bottles. In 2020, it expanded the program with the American-Made Heroes Foundation Fund. The mission of the foundation is to raise public awareness for causes impacting the veteran community, and to support nonprofit organizations that provide aid to veterans and their families in the wake of Covid-19. Today, the stills of the Heaven Hill distillery stand proud in downtown Louisville, producing a modest one barrel a day. Why only one barrel? Because Heaven Hill demands a certain level of quality control and care, so only one barrel can be made at a time. Yup. Just. One. At. A. Time.

On the palate , this Evan Williams Single Barrel Bourbon delivers naturally sweet honey, candied pineapple, roasted oak, a little tobacco and smoke, vanilla, sliced orange, apple, peach, cinnamon, clove, and cocoa powder. After a few seconds, the oak gives off a slightly smoky fragrance that’s reminiscent of toasted wood. Finish Each and every Member must be of legal drinking age in its country of residence to be allowed to use the Service. If no such law exists in a Member’s country of residence, the Member has to be over 21 years old to use the Service. We have the right to ask you to provide proof of your age and/or to provide further identification to prevent underage usage and/or for any other legal or legitimate purpose. By using the Service, and by creating an account you represent, warrant and confirm that you are of legal age. Yes, Evan Williams is sweet. It contains 78% corn on its mash bill (higher than the required percentage [ 2]), which gives the bourbon a sweet and smooth taste. Final Say Evan Williams Bottled in Bond doesn’t normally need all of that exposition behind it. It’s a bourbon that many of my bourbon drinking friends associate with an easy drinker for a great price.
