If you hadn’t noticed by now, I LOVE OLIVIA HALE!! It was hard to think of which beauty dupes to include in my top 5 as I could have mentioned others, but the eyebrow palette is something I use on a daily basis. I would say it is only second to foundation in terms of a product I don’t feel “dressed” without – gotta keep those brows on fleek after all. When it comes to applying products to my skin, especially my face I have to admit I can be a bit of a make-up snob. You all know by now that I love a bargain but when it comes to your face I just think you need to be careful about what you are actually applying to your skin as sometimes there can be a huge difference in quality between a high end make-up brand and a budget brand. But sometimes you discover wee budget gems that don’t cost you an arm and a leg and can really surprise you so as much as I can be a bit of a make-up snob I also love nothing more than finding affordable make-up that is also really good quality, especially when it comes to everyday products. THE FOUNDATION BRUSH leaves no stroking streaks. good flawless makeup for powder, liquid, concealer, cream, blush, concealer, foundation cosmetics. only a small quantity of foundation on the brush is needed for the best results. I love using translucent powder, I never usually splash out with a powder because I feel like they all kind of do the same job. I used the Olivia Hale powder under my eyes and all over my face to set my foundation and it worked a treat.My favourite has to be the make-up brushes. These are by far the best make up brushes I have ever used and are even better than the Real Technique brushes I have been using for years. Aesthetically it looked really similar to Morphe in design and I really liked the warm shade range. My only criticism would be, prepare for fall out, as I applied it onto my eyelid a lot of it did fall onto my face.

I honestly don’t think that there is any cheaper product out there that works better than this. My number 1 budget product has always been Poundland’s liquid eyeliner but this is even cheaper than that- albeit by 1p but sure every penny counts! I feel like I say this all the time when I find a great bargain product but as cliché as it is, it does prove that you should never judge a book by its cover. Sometimes it isn’t always about where you bought the product, what brand has put its name to something or how much the actual product cost. The true test of any product will only ever be you trailing it yourself to see if it works for you and your skin type. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn’t but for me this was definitely an occasion where it did work out and I think for 99p you have nothing to lose! It left a really nice subtle glimmer on my cheek and didn’t leave a stripe like some highlighters do, it blended beautifully. For 99p, I was really impressed with the pigment of the product. Olivia Hale Mascara I’ll definitely be trying this on out on my next bridal makeup trial, where as the Boysenberry will be much more ideal for evening occasion eyes. Even a smokey deep purple and grey eye. Ooooh now that’s a look to try! Is there a promotion on Olivia hale make up sponge (set of 2) in next week’s Home Bargains leaflet? I was recently dragged in to Home Bargains and Poundworld by my 2 year old daughter who is addicted to shopping for toys 🙄 In the above photos, I’m wearing some makeup products from the super affordable Home Bargain makeup range, Olivia Hale. The items retail from 99p, and when I actually received a huge box of the brand to try, at first thought I figured they must be a new premium brand.
