About this deal

Our only real complaint about the Bombtech 4.0 Driver and fairway wood is that they both sound a little dull which was surprising given the titanium faces. They produce a muted, low-pitched sound even when you hit the sweet spot. And the sound doesn’t change too much away from the sweet spot. The Lazrus Premium Forged golf wedges are an affordable solution to upgrading your equipment. It must be said that if you’re serious about your golf and you play a lot then maybe these wedges aren’t for you. However, for the weekend warrior out there who doesn’t have time to practice but wants all the help they can get around the greens, these wedges are exactly what you are looking for! One thing to note about Bombtech woods is that Tyler Sullivan intentionally designed them without any adjustability. The reasoning behind this move was that adjustability is simply a current trend and superfluous when dealing with improved performance. You would think that the deep milled grooves of these wedges would make them illegal but they barely make the cut.

While amateur golfers choose wedges based on price, performance, and personal preference, elite PGA Tour pros have access to the top brands like Titleist Vokey and Cleveland RTX ZipCore wedges. These shafts tend to be on the stiffer side simply due to their shorter length and the purpose of use. Unlike a 7 iron where you want a shallow divot, wedges can be used in a much-stepped plane meaning a stepper shaft is preferable. Pros and Cons Pros: Both LAZRUS and Kirkland wedges use a clean chrome or stainless steel finish that resists glaring and wears well over time. Very few professionals play LAZRUS or Kirkland wedges given their sponsorships with the major OEMs. But Zach Johnson, Stewart Cink, and Graeme McDowell have been spotted gaming Kirkland wedges, proving they can perform even for top players.

Case in point: Bombtech Golf. Bombtech Golf is a small, grass-roots golf club manufacturing company that was founded by Tyler Sullivan. Sullivan, an ex-engineer himself, grew Bombtech basically out of his own garage and with the help of college students. Wedges come in a variety of lofts, bounce options, sole grinds, and other features that allow golfers to fine-tune performance. Here’s an overview of what you’ll get with LAZRUS and Kirkland wedges:

The cool thing about this wedge is that it has a very wide sole that tapers as it draws to the toe. Kirkland uses a standard wedge grind suitable for most players. No ability to customize sole grind. These were the best quality wedges we could find within a reasonable price range and they all have merits in their own rights. Nearly nine years later, Bombtech is still in business and beginning to make a name for itself. Today, the company makes everything from drivers to putters. They are considered boutique golf clubs as they are not mass produced. Where Are Bombtech Clubs Made?

Overall Rating: 90/100

The result is a very forgiving wedge so we would say that this is a wedge congenial for beginners and intermediate players alike. Included in the Lazrus golf wedge set are three clubs: a 56-degree sand wedge, 52-degree gap wedge and a 60-degree lob wedge. Features And Design: Micro-Milled Face: Their PGX BK irons in particular are hot commodities because they are both forgiving and workable.
