About this deal

I'm only using the oil on the inside of the chassis,so it won't look filthy and collect dirt, and It doesn't seem to smell any worse than usual. Do not paint over damaged metal that requires replacement as the underseal could cover up serious structural issues. Rustbuster specialise in providing high-penetration cavity waxes that are excellent for protecting your car against rust. Professionals will use specialized tools to facilitate the rust-proofing process and will usually have access to a hydraulic lift to raise the vehicle.

If applied thickly it provides decent protection for a few years, but after a while it will become brittle and crack. Here at Euro Car Parts, we’ve got the range of under body sealants that you’ll need to help protect your vehicle in every way possible.

I did have to unblock the misting nozzle a few times until I learnt to unscrew it and blow it though when I finished. It can be done on ramps or axle stands – just make sure it’s safe before getting under the car and make sure you wear old clothes and eye protection. Remember to keep an eye on it though, and expect to keep the treatment topped up every few years to make sure the rust stays at bay. You can adjust the trigger points for air on and then spray - you may have it set so the spray control isn't open wide enough. Though be careful with pressure as the tins go pop much above 90psi and you'd not want to be sprayed with hot oil.I think i will use a normal spray gun to coat the underside, then try the underseal gun in the cavities. If there are any rust holes, get them repaired now – covering it will only make the welding job more difficult (or impossible) later. There is the option for using a professional to rust-proof your van’s underbody, and the cost for this will obviously be higher.

stonechip is the best as you can prime and paint over itis the Hammerite stonechip any good, and where can I get the smooth stonechip from (in a can).I just purchased a "shutz" gun to undercoat my truck doors and rocker panels, I have the same problem with not enough product coming out of the end of the tube. The best underseal is a tough paint formulated to offer protection to the bottom of the car or van, inside the wheel arches and other parts that are not normally seen but are exposed to salty road conditions. In fact, look in any scrapyard and you will see a surprising number of relatively modern vehicles which have succumbed to the MoT tester’s screwdriver. It there are wheel arch liners or other bits of trim, it is worth dropping them down to access the metal behind.

With a cheese shredder, cut the wax into the turpentine, stir until the wax has dissolved, (takes a long time; you can use very low heat (a warm room) to aid but be careful) and thin with the machine oil to a brushable / sprayable consistency. This is when rust will form, and it can quickly become an issue which will make a car uneconomical to repair. To do the job properly you’ll need to make sure the surface to be painted is clean and that the old, cracked underseal is removed. Clean the car or van thoroughly to eliminate as much loose dirt, mud, grease or oil on the underside as possible.not sure of the viscosity compared to your link above, but ML has the consitency of old engine oil, and works fine with the pressurised pot. Machine Mart Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, register number 703528 and acts as a credit broker and not a lender. It runs nicely, it sounds great, and it looks the part - but have you done all you can to protect it?
