About this deal

Being very wealthy and currently the most success businesswoman in the world makes her a prime target. In addition to that, here is another Danielle book that heavily features the city of Paris, one of my favorite places and, I suspect, one of Danielle Steel’s as well since she lives there part of the time. I have always loved any book that she sets in Paris and her descriptions of the city and everything going on there makes me feel like I’m standing right there at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower myself. New York Times bestselling author Danielle Steel tells the uplifting story of an ordinary woman embracing an extraordinary adventure, and the daring choice that transforms her world.**

I instantly loved the main character Theodora Morgan. As is not unusual for Danielle Steel, she creates female characters who are strong women who handle crises in their lives with grace and dignity. And that was certainly the case with Theodora Morgan. Although she had some heartbreaking tragedies in her life, she remained brave and strong and found a reason to continue living.

Success!

Suspects by Danielle Steel is a cozy contemporary romance you do not want to miss. Your heart will race till the very end of this juicy read! 🥰 I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.***

Danielle has a few more books already scheduled for publication in the coming months. I can’t wait! A dedicated CIA agent becomes an unexpected ally to a woman haunted by the kidnapping of her family, in this thrilling novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Danielle Steel. Theo finally decides to go out into the world and travels to New York to oversee a fashion pop-up store for her fashion line. While in New York she meets Pierre de Vaumont, a jet-setting networker, and invites him to her exclusive opening of the pop-up store. She doesn’t realize that Pierre was flagged by the CIA, and that’s when she meets Mike Andrews, who poses as a lawyer but is actually a CIA agent who is tailing Pierre. After meeting Theo, Mike decides to have another look at her husband and son’s kidnapping and decides to see if he can find out more about the kidnappers, especially if they are still alive and active. A dedicated CIA agent becomes an unexpected ally to a woman haunted by the kidnapping of her family in Suspects, a thrilling novel from international number one bestselling author Danielle Steel. When there's a new Danielle Steel book out, I feel compelled to read it. Suspects is her latest. It's a short book that offers no surprises - but that's not why you read Danielle Steel. Her books are little treats that can be gobbled down in a sitting or two and offer an enjoyable escape. A little glitz and glamour are always fun when there's some espionage added. Not her best but enjoyable, nevertheless. This is a riveting story that is all at once sad, thrilling, and hopeful. The romance between Theo and Mike is well done, and the CIA thriller aspect of this novel is compelling. The main characters instantly draw the reader in and the book is filled with intrigue. I personally can never seem to get enough of Danielle Steel’s books. This one is another solid read that I wouldn’t want to miss. I highly recommend it.

A dedicated CIA agent becomes an unexpected ally to a woman haunted by the kidnapping of her family, in this thrilling novel from #1New York Timesbestselling author Danielle Steel. Putting that aside, the protagonists shouldn't have met but forces outside of their control brought them together. To label their introduction as a meet-cute, would dismiss the danger Theo faced. Posing as a lawyer, buying his sister a luxury purse, Mike crashed the pop-up party to observe the situation. Their attraction is instant but soon danger is lurking in the shadows ready to pounce on both of them. I noticed something when reading this book that made me smile. All of the writing manuals, classes, and guides always say “Show, don’t tell. Don’t just tell the story. Show it in dialogue. ” Well, I would say 75% of this story is telling, not showing, but it doesn’t matter. It’s captivating, compelling, and moving. The characters are believable and I connected with them immediately. It completely works. And it made me realize that most or all of the books that I’ve read by Ms. Steel have been written this way. That old adage that “rules are made to be broken” stands true here. This style works for Danielle Steel, as many millions of her readers will attest. It is a good lesson for writers to remember. If you want to write in a way that may break a few rules, and it works for you, go for it. Fans of romantic thrillers and of Danielle Steel will greatly enjoy this one.I haven't read a Danielle Steel book in years and when I saw this one available to read early, I jumped at the chance. I thoroughly enjoyed Suspects and was pleasantly surprised at the suspenseful story of the book. The book centers around Theo Morgan, a very well known retail fashion designer. She sets up pop-up shops all over and sells the most sought after fashion designs. She is extremely successful, but has to overcome a terrible tragedy. One year ago as the book starts, Theo's husband and 13 year old son were kidnapped. There was a ransom demand that Theo could easily have paid, but the authorities wanted more time to try to solve the case. It ended in tragedy with the kidnappers killing her husband and son. Theo was and still is devastated as the book begins. She's basically been a hermit for an entire year, not feeling confident enough to go out. She's been running her business remotely and now she's also running her husband's business. She lives in Paris, but travels to New York, Los Angeles, Texas, etc setting up her pop-up shops for short periods. Did you know this about Danielle Steel? Her full name is actually Danielle Fernandes Dominique Schuelein-Steel, and she is a best-selling American author who has written 197 books as of 2021. Of those 197 books, 168 of them are novels. She’s also the mother of nine children (all grown up now). Yes, you read that correctly. Nine! Where in the world did she ever find the time to write any books? And, if you love a beautiful wedding as much as I do, then don’t miss all the amazing weddings in The Wedding Planner which I just reviewed. The only thing I will mention, which isn’t really a “dislike”, is that I can’t quite figure out why she used the title “Suspects.” I can’t tell you more because I don’t do spoilers here. I guess I can possibly see a reason, but seriously, having read the book and now written this entire review, I’m still trying to see why Danielle thought it was the best title. Suspects by Danielle Steel – Read, ReRead, or Reconsider On the day Winnie is passed over for a long-overdue promotion, she is also betrayed by her boyfriend and her best friend. Heartbroken, she makes the first impulsive decision of her conventional life—which changes everything.
