About this deal

Then there’s our final location of the night, the City’s most paranormally active building bar none, and the location at which many participants on the ghost walk have managed to photograph what could possibly be evidence of paranormal activity. Ever ridden an escalator with the nagging feeling that someone is stood right behind you? Happens all the time at Marble Arch. The escalators here are stalked by a well-dressed gentleman in a Trilby who vanishes when looked at directly. The story is clearly far fetched. Nobody on London Underground ever looks directly at anyone else. Fall Guy (Earl's Court)

The London Underground is not just a transportation system, but also a place of history, culture, and mystery. Its reputation as one of the most haunted places in the world has drawn ghost hunters and history buffs from all over the world, eager to explore its haunted corners and learn about its eerie past. Imagine the scene. You are alone and waiting for the last train of the day. Another train pulls in after the silence was pierced by a sharp whistle. There are rumours that there is a secret passage connecting the two stations, specifically Holborn Station to the Egyptian Room. When travelling through Holborn station, you may spare a thought for two women who vanished from the streets of London. As the story goes, the women were at Holborn station in 1935 when they were disappeared by the ghost of Egyptian princess Amen-ra. Since this station opened, there have been reports of a ghost-like tall figure wearing a top hat, coat and gloves, though some reports even suggest the coat is more of a cloak. Allegedly the debonair ghosts' appearance is so freaky that London Underground staff have even submitted transfer requests to escape his presence.

Grenadier Ghoul (Hyde Park Corner)

Fortnum & Mason claims a particularly menacing ghost, which takes the form of a Victorian gent in distinctive headgear. According to the venerable shop, the 'chilling, malevolent presence' has caused some employees to quit their jobs immediately. He's been linked to a long-forgotten murder on Jermyn Street. Technophobe (London Bridge) The London Underground, first built by the Victorians - perhaps the most ghost obsessed society this island has ever seen - is the home of a remarkable number of ghost stories.

This station is on the Piccadilly Line between Knightsbridge Station and Green Park Station. It is one of the few stations on the London Underground that has no associated buildings above ground. The station is completely underground. On one occasion, in 1943, there was a test of the air raid systems, but fearing it to be real, locals rushed to try to get inside the station before the Luftwaffe flew overhead. Bunhill Fields just south of the station is a well-known graveyard for non-conformists like William Blake and Daniel Defoe. It was also a dumping ground for 'thousands of carriage-loads' of human bones, during a clear out of St Paul's charnel house around 1550. It's not surprising that many strange sights have been seen here, from hooded phantoms to mysterious handprints. Boudica (King's Cross St Pancras) Liverpool Street Station, the London terminus of the former Great Eastern Railway, is actually built upon a plague pit as is Aldgate Station (on the Circle Line) and the Piccadilly Line between Knightsbridge and South Kensington is said to curve around "a pit so dense with human remains that it could not be tunnelled through".The park boasts several ghosts, but perhaps the most fearsome lurks in the shadow of an old plane tree. It sports a pig-like face with a wolf’s mouth and 'pale, hate-filled eyes', if you can imagine such a miscreation. Several men have died under the 'Pig Tree', while women feel a 'cruel hatred' toward men when near it. More here. Prophet of Doom (Russell Square) There are many ghost tours of the London Underground available, ranging from family-friendly tours to more intense experiences for seasoned ghost hunters. Some of the most popular tours include The London Ghost Walk, London Underground Ghost Tours, and The Ghost Bus Tour.
